As for the lyrics I wish there were no co-writers at all. But I'd like if people like Ben Moody and David Hodges helped her with the music. And as for producers I'd prefer some solid rock producers + Rob Cavallo.

Max Martin!!! Basically any producer that isn't Martin Johnson XD As for writers, anyone who she hasn't really worked much with who will push her to do better. No being lazy to do harmonies or sing. Someone that will push her out of her comfort zone

I feel like she gets too complacent when she works with Chad and David. She needs people who are gonna really push her to do her best and not give in when she says she doesn't want to sing anymore.

I feel like she gets too complacent when she works with Chad and David. She needs people who are gonna really push her to do her best and not give in when she says she doesn't want to sing anymore. Quote of Wikipedia: Lavigne later confirmed that she was hungover when she recorded the song, "One day I was hungover, tired, vulnerable, and didn't want to sing, but he (Chad Kroeger) made me go in on 'Give You What You Like,' and do it anyway. The rawness of my vocals comes across in the song, which made it better. I'd have to do harmonies sometimes, and I'd start whining, and he'd want me to do 10 takes of vocals."That kind of contradicts with everything you said

^^ that's that particular song, though. In most of the songs on AL you can hear the fake pitch-shifted harmonies.
Let Me Go is one in particular where she stated she was too lazy to sing the second verse. She's even says this past era that when she got lazy, she had David sing harmonies.

I just don't want Avril to work with anyone she's already worked with Im getting bored of the same old people. She had a PJ party with her to guitar players. I wouldn't mind if they helped out. Someone like Bob Rock would be great because Bob just wants to do whatever the artistic wants. So I believe it would be more true to what Avril would want than again theres no way the label is not going to let her not write a pop songs. I also think that Avril has to learn the difference between good pop songs and shitty ones. Some times in interviews it comes across like she doesn't want to have radio songs and that she doesn't like the single she puts out. You can still have good pop songs but they don't have to be so anthem like she seems to do for lead songs now or just throw the power battle in. Bored already thinking about it. She needs to change it up. And if the album is not done or you don't think the songs are not good enough then don't put them on the album. There has been many songs form over the years that are catchy but are amazing songs. When it comes to single now I feel like she just thinks thats what a single should sound like or it will bring in a lot of money but continues to tell us the better songs are not singles. I say just make catchy pop single songs and you don't have to say things like that.

I say just make catchy pop single songs and you don't have to say things like that. The problem is that when she's been "suggested" to make pop songs (last two albums), the results haven't been too good because they aren't genuine. Complicated or Girlfriend (her biggest hits) were pop gold not only because the co-writers and producers did a better job, but also because she did her best and was excited to make those songs. Lately, she indeed doesn't seem to interested on making pop songs anymore, but at the same time she has still compromised and released half-assed pop singles who aren't as good as older ones and they weren't even that successful. I think it's better to let her do her thing and work from there, because if she releases what she REALLY wants from the start, I think it will all flow much better. Last two eras were messy (especially AL) because she had a concept for the album (even completed) and then the label(s) came with their "bureaucratic BS" and made her change it. If she doesn't really care about success/relevancy anymore and mainly about artistry and do what she likes, she should go for it , I'm sure she will still a solid fanbase that will support her and she might new fans, or regain some that left years ago.

Something that I don't get is that Avril worked with people like the Runners and Bonnie McKee for this album and most likely made pop songs with them, why weren't those good enough? Not generic enough? Why wasn't a song like BS good enough? It was at least a little bit better production wise. Why wasn't 17 good enough?
