Maybe it's just my perspective but I think Avril is rebuilding her stage confidence. We know that on Avril Lavigne Tour (Back in 2014) she used to had really awesome and outstanding vocals. She always nailed "What the hell" high notes and also, in "I always get what I want" she used to belt out at her highest and it used to sound really outstanding. But after Lyme, her voice got kinda affected and that's why she always seemed to avoid her high notes but it helped to increase her lower register. After "I'm a mess", she regained some of her voice but It still felt like she wasn't enough confident with herself and now feels like she is working on herself vocally. We all know she has it, she still has a powerful voice, I think she needs to work her stamina and self confidence to pull up her best vocal showcase and I got the feeling she's on that. It's been years since she's giving the bare minimum on stage. and I also disagree about Lyme having a negative impact on her live singing voice once she's never sang "I'm With You" as powerful as nowadays. "Head Above Water" almost never had a bad live singing performance. Although she's still singing at most of the time like she's BORED as fuck in a cheap karaoke night. I was watching videos from the BlackStar Tour today and she soudned amazing. And even when she was at the peak of lyme in 2014 during AL tour she sounded really good. So idk what yorue talking about. Also BST she had fun with the audience and during He Wasnt told them to shush and was playing games with them it looked so fun |

Finally a snippet / leak that doesn't sound like AI (at least as far as I can tell).
I know it's only 11 seconds, but I like that it seems more reflective than all those LS breakup songs. But apart from that, the snippet sounds quite bland imo. The production is so basic and the melody sounds like something I've heard a million times before.
If this is a taste of AL8, I think it's a small step in a good direction but there's a lot that needs improvement. I just wish she'd work A LOT on her songwriting abilities and stop using the same chord progression and predictable melodies over and over again (for example, "Cannonball" did this quite well imo).

Streets are saying the song is from this year
So maybe something she was working on for AL8 and scrapped or something they actually didn't paid attention to yet (and now they won't even do it anymore 🙃)

new snippet "seeing the signs" 😊 sounds good. 👍 I think I will go against the current here but I don't know how to feel about it. Even tho if from the few seconds I'm not really fond of it. Specially if this is the direction she will go again on AL8. My opinion is that there's too much pop singers out there to make this kind of music. I was hoping to hear more Avril on AL8. Her uniqueness. Seeing the signs sounds ordinary. Like it could be anyone else's song. Maybe I am wrong, and taking conclusions way too early because these are just a few seconds. In any way, I'm thrilled for AL8 |

I really hope stuff is not already leaking from AL8. It's one thing if it's a track they aren't planning to use, or it's from a previous album, but if it's new material they're planning to release... yikes. I don't even think the leaks from LS happened until closer to release (like MGK fans purchasing Bois Lie and leaking it) or after the album was already out for some time.

How would anyone know that for sure though? Anyone can say anything. I could easily try to say it's from GL era if I wanted to and no one would have any way of knowing if I'm lying. Unless we see the co-writers, that might be the only way to really verify anything, and even then it's still not a sure thing.

What I love the most about Avril is how easily recognizable her voice is in this songs.
After lyme her voice live became nasally for a few years, but I think it's getting back to the "original"

I just found this audio on YouTube and I think it's fake Kind creepy how people think they could decide who she should or shouldn't date As long as she's happy, we have nothing to do with her love life. |
