"Recreating" the UMS vibe for the 20 anniversary. I mean, it's the era she did all types of rock festivals aswell Oh shit i didnt veen think about that... are we really following the same pattern? Same type of album? Or even same type of promo...? |

Even though it would be awesome to go back to the UMS type of music, I doubt she'll dance back to it.
I think it's just an easier opportunity to play on festivals. The stage is on, everything is given, you just have to go there, bring your stuff and play your greatest hits.

Avril is not doing Lollapalooza, could be getting something then and that’s why she’s not doing that big festival? Cuz she’s gonna do promo then.

Yes staying relevant and I would say re-getting fame before/around new album.
She will sing in front of so many different fandoms people. Not only her fans who would buy her tickets anyways. She can gain way more interest, many bands in the past resurfaced from the shadows by playing festivals

Yeah and their album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. It would be cool if she charted at least on the Top 5 or 3 for one week at least.

Blink is a bit different though because they’ve always kept their popularity to an extent, and the fact its the original trio back together finally got even more hype.
It’s nice she’s doing festivals and reminding different audiences she exists but I’m not gonna expect too much from it. Her performances leave a lot to be desired so unless she ups her game I doubt she’s going to peak too many peoples interest

No i agree with this and was thinking about this too. Theyre gonna see Avril Lavigne is performing and unless youre a diehard fan, theyre gonna be like oh yay play Complicated, Play Sk8er boi, play Girlfriend. And then she gonan be liek this is from my new album and its gonna be critickets and like people are gonna be shouting go back to Girlfriend. Hell id also argue MHE wouldnt even get the crowd going that much consdeiring I hear nobody talk about it in the GP. I think if Avril doesnt care about being popular again and knows she has a fanbase still who constantly listens to her, and follows her. i think she needs to focus on that and like do concerts for them and try to listen and connect to those fans more. Also weird thought but i wonder how many people who havent heard about her in years, or never, checked her out after it was shown she was with Homer? |
