Ok I just saw some videos of her first concert. What can I say? It’s completely a mess. She forgot the lyrics, that terrible accent, I found her completely out of tune.. honestly I don’t know what happened to her and her voice 🙁 I also stopped some videos like don’t tell me because my ears were crying.

I can understand the comments surrounding people not being able to attend a show because she's not coming to their country/town, but as someone who has waited 7 years to see Avril (I just turned 18) and hasn't been to my region of the United States since 2008, I will be critical of her since I'm seeing her in September. It has been a dream to go to an Avril show, so I will be going, but that doesn't mean I will enjoy the show to the fullest potential. Yeah, I'm so excited to hear my favorite song of all time, My Happy Ending, live along with Complicated, Bite Me, When You're Gone, Don't Tell Me, etc., but the setlist for the fans who have been around since 2002 is a joke. I get she's a singles artists, not an albums artists, but get a grip! It's disrespectful, in my opinion, to make me, a broke college student, pay almost $200 for a presale pit ticket (which I only was able to afford due to presale) to give a lazy, half-assed performance of the same 14 songs you have played for 10 years now. As everyone is saying, if you can't do all these high-intensity songs, adapt. She's almost 40 years old, so it's understandable she won't have the stamina she had at 18, so quit drinking and partying like you were doing at 18. I'm just mainly pissed about the setlist. The songs are fine I guess, but the order of them is just horrible. Bring HAW and IWY to the middle of the set along with WYG and have that buffer of a slow selection. Save Complicated for the last song since it's a Greatest Hits Tour you want to end on, imho, your biggest hit. I just can't believe Nobody's Home is not there. It's on the Greatest Hits album unlike WYWH, and she knows how much we love that song even performing it in Italy last year! It shouldn't be hard to do 18 songs. Hell, she could add KHO, WYWH, and Nobody's Home to make a ballad act, so all she would have to do is sit and sing in the middle of the show. I love Avril so much. In 2017, when the conspiracy theory came around again, I thought who is this chick? I knew Complicated, I'm with You, My Happy Ending, Hot, and Hello Kitty, so I started diving into her singles, then her albums. I fell in love with her music especially Let Go and Under My Skin, the latter being an album that helps me through my depressive episodes. And just now I got an email about merch for the 20th anniversary... no vinyl pressing or digital reissue with Daydream and Take It, that sucks. Anyways, I say this out of love for her. As a Black Star, like all of you, I expect more from her, and unfortunately, I won't be getting it. noo that makes me sad. I'm sorry you have to see all this happening. Criticisms are valid tbh but you're going to have fun regardless. I went to see her during HAW for the first time and I went home with a tear in my eye hearing her sing IWY. It was until I was going home that I realized she cut songs she did for other shows but I was still happy with my experience. I really hope she stops doing that and gives fans a longer setlist because tickets are expensive.

Don't worry, I am very excited for the show! I know I'll have good time and it will be worth the money.. just with a better set, it could enhance the show to be even greater.

From what I remember from the last tour, the first shows were actually the best ones, she was really into it. So idk if the problem will be solved as the tour goes, in her case it always gets "worse". Her best moments on tour are either at the beginning or at the very end. Let's see the next one
It doesn't really look good for her either to have almost the same ammount of tracks as her opening acts

I remember when I saw the HAW tour I was overall very happy with the show but left wishing it had been longer and that she had played a few more songs. I think this will be the common complaint this time, even amongst fans who enjoyed the show. That was largely what I was seeing from those who attended the first night, they enjoyed it but did agree it was short.

This "era" will be very long There's already rumors of her doing more shows across Asia, SA and Australia next year, so if the bad publicity don't affect anything we have a long road ahead of us.

I'm ready to postnmy opinion under all of her after show Instagram pictures. Maybe the NA/EU legs can't be saved but the other rumored legs for next year can. 💅

I went to the only HAW concert she did in Canada (Toronto) and expected so much more cause it was in her country, her family was there

If I’m being honest I don’t think I see them doing anything unless it starts to affect their bottom line. Fans can flood her comments with criticism but it’s not that hard for her/them to just ignore it or turn comments off. Fans lately have not been happy with Taylor either releasing even more editions of her latest album with limited recordings on each one, the comments of her team’s post is littered with angry fans who are fed up, but I’m sure they pay no attention and they will keep putting these out. At the end of the day there’s always fans who buy tickets or albums so as long as the money is still rolling in, sadly, I think they’re fine to leave fans screaming into a empty void while they laugh to the bank. The only way I think we’ll be heard truly is to stop financially backing these lame GH albums, poor quality merch, and stop buying her concert tickets. Vote with your wallet!

I think the setlist is fine for a GH tour, also the length of 15 songs is the most she can do on her festival dates as there‘s a fixed time slot and as she‘s not headlining, there‘s a maximum of songs she is able to play. also, people at the festivals will be really expecting to hear this exact setlist! Personally I would totally skip „Smile“ and play „Nobodys Home“ instead. Otherwise I‘m so excited to finally hear DTM and He Wasnt live for the first time. I don‘t like her oufits though, the LS-tour ones were much cooler. And of course she‘s lazy on stage and sometimes barely singing properly, but we‘re used to it since LS tour, so…
I‘m really curious to know if she‘s getting through all of these tour dates without getting sick. I‘m going to see her at the first EU festival date in about 3 weeks, so I‘m positive 😅

I dont think she cares about the comments tho. She didnt care the last 10 years - the complaints are still the same and she barely changed anything. Plus she has said again and again that she does whatever tf she wants to. It's her whole brand and her persona. She doesnt care. Which is also the reason why she is able to be in this industrie for so long (without any big mental breakdown, scandal etc.). So it's good and bad. I wish she would work with people who are as rich as her lol. I feel like a lot of people are not in the position to give her feedback cause they are financially dependent on her. I mean Avril said that Chad really challenged her vocals for HAW (album) and pushed her to do better - probably cause her career isn't his main income and he has a career on his own. Interesting, did you know that other people (including me) have also pointed out on several occasions that her team is probably much more concerned about being her FRIENDS than an employee? Combined with what you said about the financial issue, it makes sense... her team must be made up of people who are afraid of losing her friendship or their job, so they sign off on everything she does. I remember that even here on the forum there were comments about this.

I was close, on the grid, at the RIR show and even with everything going wrong (sound, long blackouts) it was the best show of my life... because it was a dream come true, it was HER there. Of course, there are situations that, well, you can't pass up (research the show in SP), but it's still a good experience. Go with an open heart, it will be good, you will like it and only then think about the bad things. Let's hope she improves her setlist until the show

I can't believe she's kept that boring Head Above Water intro video. Such a mood killer. Just watched it now and I still cannot believe that she's using it for the 3rd time! It's exactly the SAME 4 minute video (HAWT, LS Tour and GH Tour). "Bad Reputation" intro all over again !

She must be using it because she does a costume change during it and probably also rests too. I do agree it’s way too long but I’m guessing that’s why.
