That 2004 interview was from my country. They chose the wrong interviewer - who didn't know a shit about Avril's songs - the interviewer asked whether the last track from UMS was a song about her grandfather's love affair. And the interviewer gave her a "Naver" hat, as if Naver was a name of her fandom in Korea, when it was actually a sponsored advertisement portal. The interview sucked, and we were really, really embarrassed. OMG They really asked her if Slipped Away was about her grandfather's love affair?  Not only is that just a plain stupid question, it's also really rude and disrespectful since it was really about his death. If they didn't actually know what the song was about, they could have just said "What did you write that song about?" I can't blame Avril for those weird faces she made. OMG that's AWFUL. Id have up and left since I can really feel what avril feels in slipped away. Which I don't listen to anymore because my dad passed away a couple of years ago and its really hard for me to listen to it. So if that happed to me id have said FU and up and left. |
