I enjoyed the live performance, she did surprise me by doing some harmonies at the start. Her voice sounded crisp and clear, and I could not hear a back track for her, all live vocals. I am very happy about that. What would have taken it up to an amazing performance is carrying through with her harmonies each chorus, and giving us some vocal runs at the end. I know she could do it if she tried and if she practiced, and then people would walk away thinking wow Avril Lavigne really nailed that, I really want to hear more from her. I'm sure people feel that way, but I think they would feel that way even more if that were the case. Those are my thoughts

AH when she made her voice deep singing "I tried every last one of them" min 2:09 i love it. So much better than the studio version which I didn't really like.

I just think it's her being happy when she's sharing the stage with someone. This is no different from her playing with MGK on tour. She was all smiles and full of energy too.

The "weird" pronunciation (like the ones she used during AL era) seems to be back (not a lot just some words) or its just me 😅 her stage presence could be a lil better in some parts. Anw I think the performance is fine and a good way to introduce her to the country community. And she seems to be in a great place. Happy to see her back and enjoy the music she makes!

I liked it and she had fun with it too so this was a good thing. I see he said they are busy doing more music a new song together so that would be pretty cool.
I will say giiirl the outfit come on the hoodie WHY. But the pants were ok, just loose the hoodie lol.

I'm listening to it on repeat, haha. My two year old likes it as well, dancing and even singing to it, although its not even our first language. XD Its so funny, I love it. I mean the hoodie looks cool, but I always wonder wether she could breathe better without all this heavy stuff shes wearing? I got a little trouble breathing as well sometimes and at least for me what I'm wearing makes a huuuge difference. Anyways, I loved the harmonies she was doing, awesome that there was no backing track at all so we could actually hear her beautiful voice for once. For me this is the direction she should go for. I didnt get any bad vibes from the nate thing by now as well, so yeah, keep going.  |

For me personally, judging by when she sang no one needs to know and now bulletproof, to me it's undeniable that she's happier singing country music. Yes she's always happier with someone else on stage, this is just a sense I have of feeling more vibrancy from her with this genre plus her performance of the Shania song was better than anything she's done in many years -- in my opinion of course.
