It’s not bad, but she doesn’t sound quite like herself in her verse? Sounds like she’s trying too hard to pull a “country” accent and it comes off as forced. She doesn’t need that. Her voice sounds much better in the chorus, but other than that, not my favorite collab.

Was not cowriten by her or Nate himself.
The tag on Spotify says feat. Avril but on the official audio on YouTube is says with Avril.
It will likely chart on Country radio so we'll see how they'll classify it.

Why does she sing 'can you die from a broken hearts' plural on the first chorus? It's a bit jarring
Her vocals do sound great though.

I think the expectations were too high. I just think they don't really know how to fit her quite right in this genre. She sounds...good, but weird...does that make sense? Like it comes so natural for Nate and its obvious the songs suits him 1000 times better.
She sounded amazing doing that Shania cover and in her early years of LG but these last few attempts don't quite match her the same way she did with Flames, Fake as hell or I'm a Mess.
Even in Let me go she sounded a bit more natural despite of the overwhelming nickelback sound.
I like the song, a lot. It's just not the masterpiece i was expecting and i'm afraid to say that MAYBE the song would've sounded better without her 😬😬😬 but i didn't say it... Haha.
One thing i love tho is her singing the second voice and harmonies all over the track. I do love some good harmonies and its so rare to hear her singing them. It's very pleasant hehe

I think Avril sounds great but I honestly think the track could have just been Nate by himself and I'd still really like this song. Much better than Bulletproof. I think her vocals are super strong but maybe a bit autotuned in a few places. Still, she's hitting some really impressive notes.
That being said, the coffee line is horrible lol
