Avril's voice sounds great. Nate too. The way they put together this ballad seems a bit different from her usual way. And I like that it really features her voice. I also catched the slight country accent she tried in the beginning of her verse but overall I couldn't tell. Seems more like she was really focusing on her voice. I need a few more listens but it's a good song.

I was going to say that as well! Nate sounds amazing and the song is 100% meant for him. You can tell Avril was thrown into the mix kind of last minute as she didn't even write the song, and she usually at least co-writes every song she's in. Nate didn't write it either, but I don't know if it's just this particular case or he usually has other people write his songs.

What a song. It’s in her Top 10 Best. If this is the vibe for the next record I’ll die of happiness.
Her, Feldy, and MOD used to be all about coffee and different types of coffee/ pour overs in the studio while making Love Sux. She wrote her verse from the HEART.
Edit: LOL IF she wrote it! Sometimes song credits are fucked up when a song is first released. Example: Apple Music had Chantal Kreviazuk as a go-writer on several Let Go songs when the 20th anniversary dropped. Wait till the album is out to confirm.

For me the song would be better if entirely by Avril herself. Somehow i don't enjoy the match of their voices. The same happened for me with bulletproof.
And i would opt for less autotune. She doesn’t really need it I dont know why she insists on that.
Guess the problem is mine really.

Finally Avril's voice with less production. I Love it. This is a good form for her.
I love this Avril of first verses. She seems to have picked up quite loudly in the last verses, calling for autotune, which I like the least.
It's definitely a nice and good song. Let Go-HAW-ALX (?) country vibes here !!!

After a few listens I think it’s ok. Not my favourite of her collabs but better than the majority of her others. It’s nice seeing her do stuff in slightly different genres rather than the same old Bratvril kinda stuff we get so often.

The song is okay. Just seems to be lacking that signature Avril hook that her other ballads have. Also that coffee lyric is dreadful, maybe even worse than Pyjamas / Bananas hahaha

I like it a lot, I want more of this style of music from her. I don't think she sounds out of place at all, its perfect. (For me she still sounds out of place in Let Me Go even after all these years). I think its beautiful and it made me super sad when I heard it, so... well done. 😅 And I love their voices together, they match so good, especially when shes doing harmonies. These Nate smith collabs are probably my favourite Avril collabs ever.

Really like it. Her voice remind me Celine Dion style of singing with that high notes in verse. At least we got something lets see if it will chart well.

It’s not bad, but she doesn’t sound quite like herself in her verse? Sounds like she’s trying too hard to pull a “country” accent and it comes off as forced. She doesn’t need that. Her voice sounds much better in the chorus, but other than that, not my favorite collab. Not her best collab in my opinion... |

After listening a few more times, I will agree it's too short. It basically has no bridge and the song just kind of ends with repeating the hook which is kind of boring. I know most songs these days skip the bridge and don't bother ending with the chorus anymore but it's kind of sad that songs are written so half-assed like this now. The song could have been even better with a proper bridge and final chorus.
