Nick Carter recently revealed on Twitter that he will be collaborating with Avril Lavigne on a song from his upcoming album, "All American"! Carter further discussed the song, titled "Get Over Me", with iHeartRadio stating: He also discussed the songs meaning to them: "Get Over Me" and "All American" are now available for purchase and streaming on the services below! |

Once upon a time she wouldn't even tour with him.... Lol not entirely thrilled with this collaboration but I'm extremely glad she's been working. She needs to get her name back out there!

I think it's cool that she collaborated with him after all of these years since she originally turned down the idea back during her early days.
It will also be awesome to hear new music from her, even if it's just a feature on someone else's song.

And it might also create some buzz for her in the press as well. |

While doing a Twitter takeover for iHeartRadio on October 20, Carter revealed "I do have collab on my new record #allamerican She's a cool rocker girl from Canada," tagging Lavigne's handle. While the song doesn't have a released date (yet!), Carter told iHeartRadio, "I talked to Avril about doing a collab together, and we became friends — we were on tour together with the Backstreet Boys. She was into the idea, and she really liked it. She liked the song that I had written, and she put her vocals on the song, and it was really cool."
Even better? It sounds like it focuses on one seriously bad romance! "It's a really fun play on a couple. It's like a crazy stalker guy, but then I'm calling her a crazy stalker girl," Carter explained. "And we're saying, 'You need to get over me,' and then she's like, 'No, you need to get over me.' We're giving our own stories of the situation that had gone down in the song."
So she recorded this pre-Lyme.

Cool, I like Nick, his first solo album was good. Even though she only put her voice, it's better than nothing. Hopefully she will release some of her own material s**n

I'm pretty excited for it. I enjoy Nick's music (Now or Never is a solid pop-rock album) and I heard this album is going back to his roots which definitely works with me. Plus Avril doesn't collaborate often so it'll be nice to see her branch out further.
