I didn't want to make an extra thread for my "problem" (maybe it would make sense though...well..). Is anyone on here who's a super coding specialist? I'm trying to work on my site, but it seems I did anything wrong or sth....I can't even login to my Wordpress admin panel I do only have the option to use a backup right now, that's what my host offered me and that what seems to be the only option I have at the moment. Maybe, if there is anyone out there who's able to help me bring my Wordpress back to level 0 with no problems, maybe over team viewer, or just via WhatsApp or whatever... I'd be thankful for any help!

I repaired one of my flat screen TVs. It's nine years old, and over the years the screen has been getting dimmer. That's because the LEDs that backlight the screen, lose their brightness over time. There are 50 LEDs, and they have not lost their brightness evenly. One of them had failed completely. I bought a brand new set of them, from China, for just under $13.00, including shipping. I disassembled it, replaced the LEDs, and now it works just like it did when it was new. If I can't fix it, it ain't broke. 😂 How does that work with laptops? And can you replace laptop screens? Cheaply? I know you can replace hard drives. The simple answer is, maybe. It depends on the exact nature of the problem. If it is cracked, the entire screen needs to be replaced. The cost varies widely, depending on the age and brand. When computers start, there is audible clue. When a Windows computer starts, there is a melody it plays, when it's ready for you to enter the password. If you hear the melody and the screen remains completely black, there are several possible problems. The two most common are the backlight fluorescent light are burned out, or the board that supplies the power, to the backlight tubes, is bad. Then, there is the possibility the screen, or the screen connector is bad. I could write a book, on repairing screens. I'm never going to do that. If you are talking about a computer you own, PM me with the model number and the brand, and I will give you more specific advice. A few years back, I bought a very nice, not too old laptop, with a cracked screen. I paid $10 for it. I found a used screen, on ebay, for $24. It was the easiest screen replacement I had ever done. Four screws to get to it and connect it. That was it. Still works great.

My laptop is fine, but I have an older 1 and the screen seems dull, and the hard drive needs to be replaced. I am not sure it's worth the trouble to pay to fix it all. I've already replaced the hard drive in it and the 1 in it now used and refurbished. It's a Dell laptop and it likely would cost a lot to fix, so I might just let it die. The laptop I use now is fairly new, but the main problem I have is for some strange reason most of the 1 Terabyte hard drive is on the 2nd D: Drive. While the main C: drive has only 110 or so Gigabytes and I have only about 45 Gigabytes space left on it. I have tried to download onto my D: drive for programs and files, but I'm running out of room on my C: Drive and it's slowing down my laptop even though it's fairly new. I have 1 Drive for Office and I want to move it to my D: Drive, but when I try and copy my 1 Drive files to D: it won't let me and keeps saying i don't have enough space. It's treating my D: Drive like it's C:. Can I delete my 1 Drive on C: and somehow set up my 1 Drive to run on my D: Drive? Any help would be great, thanks, UB.

From what you've written, it sounds like you have a nice, high end laptop. Before we go any further, I need to know the exact model number.

We can continue the discussion here. It might also help some else. The model number is usually on the bottom.

It's Canada and the serial number is CND0031JTR These numbers aren't getting me anywhere. We're going to have to go about this a different way. Have you ever used a software program called teamviewer?

Let's just assume that's the case, and proceed from there. I'll be typing for the next few minutes.

Thank you. I do have 2 separate physical drives. C: and D:. C: is my main drive and D is treated like a storage drive, but has most of my hard drive space on it. Very frustrating.

I assume the C drive is a relatively small 128 gig Solid State Drive. It's very fast and is where your operating system and applications must be installed. The D drive is a larger and slower mechanical drive. It is meant for storage. You can keep your files there. Things like documents, pictures, videos and music. You can't put applications there. In theory, you could get everything on the 1TB D drive. But that make your computer a lot slower. You can't put Office on the D drive. That's an application and needs to be on the same drive as Windows. All the files you create with any of those applications can be easily stored on your D drive. Are you with me so far?

I understand. It's my picture, video and writing files in 1 Drive I want to store on my D: Drive., Not applications or programs or apps or anything. Just those files. I have a 118 GB C: Drive and a 931 GB D: Drive. My C: Drive has about 43.3 BG's left and my D: Drive has 801 GB's on it. I have been able to store other music videos on and some files on D:. But I don't know how to store my 1 Drive files to it. When I try and add those files from 1 Drive it tells me I only have 43.3 GB's left and not enough space. But that's what's left on my C: drive, not my D: Drive.

That will show your C and D drives. One at a time, right click on the drive and then click properties. It will show you how much space is used and how much is available. There are also some utilities there. Let me know what you find.
