Album art can be a major factor that compels you to purchase an album. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, a full album contains a few thousand words, but you know what I mean. Personally, Under My Skin is my favorite. The distressing of the album art with the burnt paper around the edges really reflects the album's content. Avril also looks great on it. It actually kind of reminds me of the album art for Green Day's American Idiot. Both are black, white, red and were released in 2004. Do you see a similarity? Probably not, just making a meaningless connection here. I also really like Let Go's album art mainly because young, innocent, 17-year-old Avril Lavigne is on it. I'm not really a fan of the album art for the self-titled album, Avril Lavigne. I actually sort of have an irrational fear of it.

Except AL, I think they all have something and are well-designed. But I'd go for LG.

I'm not sure if you mean album art in general or just the covers. In the case of only the covers my favorites are TBDT and GL. For general album artwork my favorites are LG, TBDT, and GL. UMS is good and suits the nature of the album well. The only one I don't like at all is AL. The cover is scary looking and I don't really care for the other pictures either. There were hardly any pictures in the booklet and a lot of them look kind of similar. My overall favorite artwork is LG because I love how simple the pictures are and it really shows Avril's personality. I love the handwritten lyrics. It feels very candid and real and personal.

Personally, I believe that all of them were well designed and truly matched the albums' sounds. But I'd go for Goodbye Lullaby, since the general artwork is so beautiful and has a very mature vibe to it, which kind of reflects the album's sound and general lyrical and musical content imo.

Yeah, I meant album covers but it could be extended to cover album artwork as well. I really like the artwork and photos in the booklet for TBDT as well. I was slightly disappointed that GL had less photos in the booklet... Good to see that I'm not the only one who is intimidated by the cover of AL. Plus, it doesn't really reflect the album's content. It's just a slightly scary picture of Avril Lavigne with some minimalistic text.

I voted for UMS, but I think they all lack some creativity. And it sure is a taste question, but I always thought there were much better pictures from each album shoot than the one that finally ended being the cover.

Personally I don't want to see Avril (or any other artists) so close up or stand out in album covers. TBDT and AL were really uncomfortable to look at. LG and GL was great because Avril perfectly "blended in" with the background.
Though I don't think UMS cover is a 'good' album cover (fans would certainly like it, but for casual listeners - meh), black and white saved the day.

Can't choose between TBDT and GL. Both are perfect!

TBDT or GL. I really like TBDT cause of the sparkling colours, its bright and light! And GL is magical! Love that too.
AL is the worst. The cover is way too close and her skin too light, make-up too dark. Let go is average and UMS is well... Black and white xD

GL for me, it's perfect- everything from the cover to the Photoshoot to even the disc. It's just great

I think both Let Go and Goodbye Lullaby have amazing covers. Honestly it's hard to decide between the two. If forced to choose though, I'd probably say Goodbye Lullaby.

I'd say it's almost a tie between UMS and GL. But no other cover has blown me away as much as the UMS one . Her outfit, her make up, hair, the red cross contrasted with the black and white , dark theme, everything is just perfect.

Goodbye Lullaby is my favourite. I love pretty much everything about it - the colours, the photo shoots (Avril's hair, makeup, clothes; the whole perspective), these little details on the edges, the fonts... I just think her sitting position on the cover seems a bit weird, but that's the only thing I can criticize.
