Today Hello Kitty got 100M views on YouTube which gives Avril a 7th VEVO certification! She's now the first female Canadian with 6+ certifications  congrats Avril  |

Great news for Avril. I notice the videos for Complicated, Hot & Let Me Go are also close to getting 100M views.

So I belive next year they should do a updated version of when she receives her awards, because since last vevo certification videos she has got many certifications! |

Great news... yeah, right  The song is an embarrassment for her and things like this only can encourage her to keep doing that kind of songs, just like Girlfriend made her keep making and releasing "hit" bratty songs. I love how there's fans here that hate certain songs so much that they have to find some illegitimate reason why others like it. You do realize that it's possible that some of us who happen to like the song/video legitimately like it, don't you? I know if you hate a song or video so much that it's hard to understand why others like it, but trust that at least none of her fans on BA supported it because we're "blind fans." Her fans on Twitter? Maybe. But most of her fans here on BA are not shy about sharing opinions on her music and believe it or not there's quite a lot of us who appreciate the song and video. There's such a thing as being able to like a song on its own merits without being accused of being a "blind" fan or because it's new. |

Personally I feel whatever you feel about the song or video it's still an accomplishment from Avril, especially in what was basically her least commercially successful era. It's not like she also didn't have her more serious songs/videos get certified like WYG and WYWH. Only in Avril's fan base will you find people actually be disappointed when she achieves something.  |

IMO one "Wrecking Ball" wrecks it all, despite whatever she released in the past. And HK is incomparably worse than Wrecking Ball. |

That's really great news! Personally, I believe that no matter how any of us actually feels about this song, we should all be glad that it got a Vevo Certification. That's indeed an accomplishment for Avril imo, especially since her last era wasn't as successful as the others.

I am not a fan of the song and the music video is not one of her best, however, after 13+ years into Avril's professional career she is still managing some relevance and with a video being viewed over a 100,000,000 times. That is an accomplishment.
I really don't think this one song getting certified will change her mind about Album #6 and she'll end up doing a full EDM based album about throwing cupcakes at people.
This was (hopefully) just a one off song of that nature.

It's not like none-fans will be like OMG HELLO KITTY GOT CERTIFIED and remember about it again, its mainly us fans that can get happy for avril for receiving another certification, and avril herself. So I don't see a reason to dislike that she got another certification

I hate the song myself but regardless it is still 100M views at the end of the day  Although I will admit that most of the views came from the viral reaction and in a way was possibly a mini gangman style. I hated the press the song also gave her as well- it sucked; but again opinions about the song aside, 100M is 100M. |

When HK appeared I never believed that this song will get Vevo Certificated Award. Although I like it, but not a fan of this song. I'm really happy that GF is over than 300M view- I think this video is great! Hope that we will see new vevo certificated ceremony |
