Yep, I liked it but wasn't sure about the beat when I listened to it the first time. After the second time listening to the song everything clicked.
The song, the video, the album title...we're in for another classic album my friends.

I don't like the new song. Sure, they wanted to make something new and different, but the verses sound more like a demo. Almost like the interludes from Self-Titled, except they had a really cool vibe to them and not mixed together with a pop sound.
I hope that the rest of the album is more solid rock/pop. They can deliver at concerts, but I don't see it with the new song.

You should give it a couple more listens Devil. Hopefully it clicks for you like it did for me  . Personally I love the upbeat tone of the song contrasted with the depressing lyrics. Also, I watched the music video again and it's so, so good  |

But I think they did that on purpose because the song seems to have some 80's pop influence. Marianas Trench did the same thing with some songs off Astoria because they were really influenced by bands in the 80's. I also hope that there are more rock/pop sounds on the album too. |

I like the lyrics and it's a cool sound but it's just lacking for me. It feels kind of like it's not finished or like a filler song? I like it, but feel it could be a lot better which is a shame. I didn't like the Self Titled album but hopefully I'll like this one. I've seen them live twice and they were great. I feel as though they're losing their originality a bit, but I suppose it is the lead single. |

I didn't expect to be blown away by their new music, and I was right. The song isn't bad, but it's definitely not what I would want/expect from Paramore. I was dissapointed by the self-titled album, but at least they preserved some of their essence and edge while being more pop. This time, they mixed pop with 80s influence and a little bit of what today's considered "alternative"; that edge is definitely lost. If the rest of the album is like this song, the self-titled album might not remain as my "least favourite" Paramore album, which would be really sad...  |

Can't wait to see them live for the first time during their next tour Jack aw, Self-Titled is my favorite (though it's extremely close between that, RIOT! and BNE) . Love the variety of the album. Edit: Didn't think it was worth making a new post for this but I didn't realize the track list was already revealed. Saw it on their website: TRACK LISTING 1. Hard Times 2. Rose-Colored Boy 3. My favourite is RIOT! by far, second would be BNE and third would be AWKIF; and then the self-titled. I only really liked 3-4 songs and the rest of the album was "meh" to me. But as I said, this songs further than that album ever did, I'd even say that I like Hard Times less than any song from the self-titled (except perhaps those IMO pointless interludes). And considering that's my least favourite album, I'm kind of sad and frustrated. I didn't expect something groundbreaking, but I feel so underwhelmed by this song... |

Hayley told at the concert in Berlin about Last Hope that it is the reason she does music and it is meant for Paramore to play live. It really gave me chills when the played it, it's like an anthem. And I hope for more songs like this. I can't tell what's my favourite album... maybe their live concert at Red Rocks in Denver which is on Self-Titled Deluxe. This plus My Heart live and it's perfect Natalya, you're right. I don't like the 80s influence and I absolutely don't like synthie sound. But maybe it's the same with the album as Avril's GL. WTH was totally different from the rest ^^ |

The studio version is pretty good but that performance is out of this world...one of the best live performances from any artist I've ever seen/heard. It's a shame that it's not available anywhere for download/streaming. And I love the Red Rocks concert too. I've seen the full concert on YouTube a bunch of times and love every song performance. Really makes me wish I was there for it |

They talk about the hardships the band has been through over the years, friendship and what went into making the new album.
It's really personal and feels very real. Awesome, very relatable interview.
