If she is looking into recording in the same studios, at least for the music she recorded at Conway Studios, I wonder if she will follow that plan for all of the music. I also wonder if she is gathering her original collaborators and producers. I think she has to. The idea is to make the recordings sound as close to the originals as possible, which means she would basically have to get the same producers again. I thought she was going to start with the debut and go in order but maybe she’s working backwards so that she’ll end on the debut in that little shack she recorded it in behind Big Machine. As a way to show how far she’s come, that would be so cool! I guess my fear is that she wouldn't be able to fulfill that plan - let's say come of the collaborators are unable or possibly unwilling to collaborate once again. I don't know of any bridges being burnt with past collaborators and producers as we have seen happen with Avril, but that's not to say there could not be people who are unable to make it work with their schedule. It's the people who have only worked with Taylor on a single song or only a few - the producers who were not the main producer on the albums. But we know Taylor likes to plan things out, so maybe she will be able to work out a long schedule in order to work with all of the same people again. That could be the reason she is not necessarily recording the albums in order. Maybe she is waiting to get some collaborators on board or waiting for a time that is better for them. Recording studios also have booking schedules that she would have to work around as well. She can't record if someone else has booked that studio for a specific time slot.

Recording studios also have booking schedules that she would have to work around as well. She can't record if someone else has booked that studio for a specific time slot. To be honest I don’t see anyone not wanting to work with her. To miss the chance to appear on a re-recording for one of the worlds top artists right now would be pure stupidity. The royalties they could get from it alone is enough incentive to do it. I’d be more concerned if any of the collaborators have died since the original recording, but I don’t think that’s the case. And I’m sure for any duets that Ed Sheeran, Gary Lightbody, Imogen Heap, etc. would be more than willing to appear again. I’m sure for studio bookings as well that an A-lister like Taylor gets top priority so I don’t see that being a huge issue either. I’m more curious what she’s going to do with some of these old songs that don’t age well. For example, Bad Blood, now that she and Katy are friends again. You Belong with Me and Better Than Revenge are both kind of slut shaming in this day and age, she’s since said she regretted writing BTR in particular for that reason. And Innocent is about forgiving Kanye after the VMAs incident but he’s since hurt her again. Fans have speculated maybe Katy will appear on the re-recording of Bad Blood, that she will alter the lyrics of BTR, or that she will take Innocent off the track list and replace it with one of the bonus tracks. But I don’t believe any of these options are viable as they must be as close to the originals as possible, word for word, note for note, to devalue the originals.

I wonder too if she'll release them all in a new EP, kind of like how she released all the live versions from the City of Lover concert as separate singles.

I think you are making astute points Bo, she’s said she wants to stick exactly to the originals.
Taylor slays 100% ALL THE TIME. Girl is relentless. It’s not a coincidence the Grammy noms are up for grabs.

Taylor’s been nominated for 6 Grammys!
Beautiful Ghosts - Best Song Written for Visual Media
Cardigan - Best Pop Vocal Performance, Song of the Year
Exile - Best Duo/Collaboration with Vocals
Folklore - Best Pop Vocal Album, Album of the Year
Realistically I see her winning both for folklore and maybe SOTY for cardigan. I don’t think BG will win since there’s tough competition in that category and Cats flopped as a film. The others I think she has a shot but it’s not necessarily in the bag for her. I could see maybe Exile winning, so if she wins those 3 she’ll now have 13 Grammys lol

Disney+ noooooo I don't have money for that ugh. Unless I do the trial thing. I think it's for one week? If it's for a streaming service especially Disney who likes to keep everything under their umbrella I just don't see it going on an EP unless maybe she decides to sell it? But actually it is a good deal considering everyone is doing 10-40 bucks one time only thing. So fuck it, I'll get Disney+ for a month just for her...lmao if my teen self could see me now
Is she performing all the songs?

Disney+ noooooo I don't have money for that ugh. Unless I do the trial thing I think it's for one week? If it's for a streaming service especially Disney who likes to keep everything under their umbrella o just don't see it going on an EP unless maybe she decides to sell it? But actually it is a good deal considering everyone is doing 10-40 bucks one time only thing. So fuck it I'll get Disney+ for a month hits for her...lmao if my teen self can see me now Is she performing all the songs? I read an article that she is supposed to be performing every track, including the lakes I guess. And will be telling the stories behind the songs as well. I'm really surprised, as I thought it would only be a selection of certain songs, but I guess she's performing the whole album! Which is really special since she can't go on tour for the foreseeable future, so I guess she thought performing them in this intimate acoustic session would be the next best thing. It deserves some kind of live performance, for sure. The City of Lover concert was also released by Disney+, but she released all the Lover songs as separate singles, so I don't see why she couldn't do the same for this. She even released her live performance of Betty from the ACMs as a single too. Taylor is very smart and knows how to make the most out of everything she releases, hence the reason she re-released the folklore songs as separate EPs as a way to rebrand them long after its initial release to keep people interested. In this day and age of digital and streaming, releasing the songs from music films and documentaries like this is definitely a smart move.

Screaming* nothing going on at the moment. I love this girl. This will be an experience. The way she talks about her music and her playing the whole record plus the bonus track. She really knows how to make fans feel special like no one else.

Taylor's previous history with each of these Grammy categories:
Best Song Written for Visual Media - this is her 3rd nomination in this category. She previously won in 2013 for "Safe and Sound" from The Hunger Games and was nominated again in 2018 for "I Don't Wanna Live Forever" with Zayne from Fifty Shades Darker
Best Pop Solo Performance - this is 5th time being nominated in this category. She was nominated last year for "You Need to Calm Down," as well as "Shake It Off," "Blank Space," and "You Belong with Me" (under "Female Performance"). She has never won in this category
Song of the Year - this is also her 5th time being nominated in this category. She was nominated last year for "Lover," as well as "You Belong with Me," "Shake It Off," and "Blank Space." Despite being one of the most critically acclaimed songwriters of her generation, she has yet to win in this category
Best Pop Duo/Collaboration - this is her 3rd nomination in this category. She was previously nominated for "Breathe" with Colbie Caillat and "Bad Blood" with Kendrick Lamar. As with the other categories, she has yet to win
Best Pop Vocal Album - this is her 4th nomination. She has been nominated for every album since 1989, which is also her only win so far.
Album of the Year - this is her 4th nomination. She previously won for Fearless, making her the youngest artist at the time to win (until Billie Eillish broke the record this year). She was nominated again for RED, then won again for 1989, making her the first female artist to win twice. If she wins again this year, she will be the first female artist to win 3 times.

A breakdown of how many nominations each of her albums has received and where folklore stands:
1989 - This is her most nominated album, getting nominated for 10 Grammys total between the 2015 and 2016 awards. She won 3, including Album of the Year.
Fearless - Fearless is in second place, with a total of 8 nominations. It is also her winningest album, winning 4 awards, including Album of the Year.
folklore - Coming in surprisingly third place is her 8th studio album, nearly 15 years into her career, with a total of 5 nominations, once again including Album of the Year.
RED - Coming in at 4th place appropriately is her 4th album with 4 nominations, including Album of the Year. Unfortunately this was her first album to be nominated that took home zero wins. It was also the last time she was nominated in the country categories.
Speak Now - Her third album received a respectable 3 nominations after her blockbuster Fearless era. She took home 2 of the 3 awards, making it her highest percentage of wins to nominations.
Lover - Tying in 5th place is Lover, which also received 3 nominations. But unlike Speak Now, it took home zero wins.
reputation - In last place is Taylor's comeback record reputation, which received a paltry single nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album. It did not win.
Taylor Swift - Her 2006 debut album is her only album to date not to receive any nominations. However, Taylor herself was nominated for Best New Artist in 2008 (she lost to Amy Winehouse).

If only our girl Avy would take some pointers from Swizz. Yes but I think this is almost out of their control. I know Taylor plays the game and takes it really seriously but even she's been let down by the system. I really don't get why Avril has been ignored by the Grammys since LG. Yeah she's not the best but KHO, WYG, HAW, maybe MHE could have been nominated but they weren't even recognized I think by other award shows. She just has bad luck and her rebellious reputation did her no favors imo. Or maybe because she took too much credit for those LG songs.
