Computers on your wrist. We're pretty much living in the future. However, is it a technological innovation or just another device to charge? I've been all over wearable technology since it was brought to the mainstream. I got a Pebble back in 2013, which was a Kickstarted smartwatch. Looked like a toy and had a greyscale screen, but had a superior battery life compared to its competitors (still nothing to a traditional watch). I loved it and used it for 2 years before upgrading to an LG G Watch, my first Android Wear smartwatch. It still looked toy-ish but at least had a full color touchscreen and microphone. I then upgraded to an Asus Zenwatch, which was still a first generation Android Wear smartwatch but at least looked premium with a metal body and leather straps. I find smartwatches very useful. They allow me to view notifications without having to pull out my phone and I can use Google Now on it, which is VERY useful. Do you have a smartwatch/other form of wearable technology? What is your opinion on them?

I don't have a smatwatch but a FitBit Charge which I'm in love wih. Honestly I've never been too interested in smartwatches. I didn't even care about fitness trackers at first, that came later after I had started running on a more regular basis. And consider me the kind of person who the buzzfeed posts and memes apply to... fell, hard for it, I'm waiting for FitBit to make more of their "higher class" models water resistant. BTW, anyone here who has the first Charge? I had a problem with it about a half year after receiving it... but the customer support was so fast and friendly! I got a replacement just two days later.

I'm waiting for my second replacement now... If I had the money I would have taken the discount they offered me and bought the Charge 2.
When anyone in my family asks I'll tell them I need money

I like smartwatches and the concept of it, I really do. But honestly I don't want one for myself. I feel an abundance of hightec and gadgets all over my work, place, car, everywhere right now. But ask me again next year
