[ALBUM THREAD] The Head Above Water Thread

Yeah I honestly think it’s a similar video to that one announcing that she was with BMG.
I’d like if it’s her playing a bit more of that song, and then talking about the album release, with its date and then in the background playing that song (studio version). Then she says the preorder will be out and that can get the song that is playing when you preorder it!

But that’s all my wishful thinking, of course

I think it’s possible we get a new song when the preorder comes out, maybe January. Every artist releases more than one song before an album these days, even if they’re just promo singles. HAW is not nearly enough to get people interested in buying/streaming the full album. They should release a couple more songs.

I honestly think that’s a good idea. Blue October did that this year. Their first single was released in January and the album in August (with one delay), but it didn’t really matter because we were given five new songs before the album was released. It’s a good way to tide people over for a bit, and it made things more exciting because we were given good ideas how the whole album would sound like.

If this is a Christmas MV she will probably be singing next to the xmas tree, playing the piano and opening gifts. They don't need days to shoot something in a studio. 

I don't think it's about the album, she records everything at her home. She could have recorded at her home next to her Xmas tree with one camera man. This was more like a short clip saying my album will be released on... 

If this is new xmas music we will know in max 2 weeks, IMO. Most probably this week.

Honestly, if it's just an announcement of her album, I will appreciate her effort to communicate with us through a video.
Sure, I'd rather get a new song... but hey, at least it's not silence, and the album is coming s**n-... or s**n-ish

I'm sorry my comment triggers Erik's anger but he definetely needs to take a break because this wait is not doing him good, neither his behaviour towards some of us, including me. BTW my comment was not directed to him on the first place but well... Thanks to the admin for giving him the time to reconsider some things and chill out a bit.

OT: I consider HAW did really good, it didn't matter to me that it wasn't the big #1 she wanted but as a song it was very important to many people who needed a word to stand up and feel encouraged to keep going through a tough time. It was of great help for me and that's what I consider a good song. Of course, music is subjective in theses terms but I hope you get what I mean. I was more than I expected regarding that she was off from the spot for so long for those who aren't big fans and only knew about girlfriend or wth.

My guess is that during the 1st week of november we're getting something. The video, or new music if it is the case. It's christmas month and maybe it's the right time to announce something so we can end the year with some announcement or new music. That's what I expect and nothing much until january or february but if we get something more, it will be welcomed! 

It’s not so much that the video was shot in one day but seemed to be only a few hours. And she didn’t share much BTS like she did with HAW so I think it’s something short and probably not a music video.

The thing that makes it confusing is that she was playing around with the snow filter and took a picture in front of a Christmas tree wearing a red dress that looked like a Christmas dress with the caption “it’s a wrap” which is why I and many others assume it’s Christmas-related. On the other hand, the song she was practicing on piano doesn’t sound like a Christmas song and some have pointed out it sounds like the same song from the BMG video. Who knows.mp3, maybe it’s a remake of that same video but with a message for the fans wishing us happy holidays and an update about the album, like an official announcement.
