My theory, since it looked like it was an only a few hours shoot, is that it's going to be a holiday/Christmas wish to fans video with the official announcement of the album and she may tease the second single that will be released in January... if the song is not Christmas related, I don't think it'd be a great idea to release it this time of the year, whereas if it is a Christmas song it's more than welcome haha 
Or maybe she was really shooting the video for a new song and she got dressed and was standing next to the Christmas tree because... as my good friend UnderAlexSkin would say, why not?  we all know how much she loves Christmas and that she'd keep the decorations all year long if it were for her  |

So everything related to it makes me insanely happy!  Who actually doesn't love Christmas? Avril looked like so happy in that Christmas IG stories. I can't wait to discover what our dear Avril has in store for us!  Christmas is magic time of year without any doubt. According to her last posts and Instagram stories we should expect Christmas song, which could be a promo single with announcement of album date release finally maybe even with preorder. It should happen anywhen... A promo single with the announcement of the album (and, hopefully, the preorder) would be amazing! The Best Damn Christmas gift 4 Real! To be honest, i don’t know if all of you would agree with me but we should ask her about doing a FB live. Like we should all come together at the same time and post it on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, etc, until it comes to her attention. Maybe even start a hashtag. I know that technique hasn’t been working for the album and new single but we can also try it and hope for her to answer us. I want information just like all of you.😝

I’m beginning to this this video is a promo for the album. And her being dressed in red in front of a Christmas tree with presents could very well be her announcing album date and preorder + a new song.
I think she’s just dragging the promo for HAW as much as possible until late December, maybe Christmas, where she’ll post that video announcing everything. It would make sense since she first announced the album on Christmas 2016.

She did that last Christmas. She actually sounds really god on it. I'm sure it was just an opportunity that cam up that took barely any time or effort on her part and she just thought it would be fun because she loves Christmas. No big deal

I have a feeling this era is already more messed up than her last 2 eras. You notice the difference without a big management company and a Top 40 success driven label. I told everyone when she first signed this deal/ended things with Larry Rudolph for prepare for a different type of era and to lower commercial expectations. Head Above Water is a great song (one of the best ballads she’s ever done) and it got her name back out there. I am hoping for at least another single before the album and at least one after its release. |

Who does this nowadays? Rita Ora took more than a year to release Phoenix since the lead. Katy Perry last year from February to June, Ariana this year from April to August... Avril’s promoting style is old-fashion though, but she’s not the only one. |

Who does this nowadays? Sky Ferreira is worse, which is a shame, because she always delivers pop masterpieces. It's been 5 years since her debut, which was also delayed for an eternity. So Avril is Not_The_Only_One.mp3 See Tyrion's response; certain artists take their time to write, produce, and pour their souls into what they do, and then, on top of that, struggle with shitty management, album delays... you see, it's not up to them, even if they're constantly coming up with new material and working their asses off... or get sick... or get arrested for drug possession. You know, that kind of stuff. And then, of course, there are certain singers who have ghost-writers, zero soul, no vocals, a remarkable absence of talent, generic lyrics, and they struggle too, even if at one point they were on Billboard, the VMAs or whatever. |
