Her team and label has changed 3 times with the last 3 albums... no modern day artist puts out a single and waits 5 months to put out the album, at least not by the label’s choice. It is clear Avril was very indecisive when making the album... the producer changes were her idea. In a day where labels want to churn out content constantly, I cannot fathom why Avril wants to wait 5 months to release the album... we haven’t seen mic pics in months (Bonnie McKee was the last), so the album is clearly done. The photos have been edited for months... what the fuck is the hold up?

It's four fridays in February 2019, so album might drop on 1,8,15 and 22. Alhought my guess is 29... Lol

Her silence is really the worst part cause all we can do is speculate, but honestly another “letter” at this point would be annoying as well ahaha

All I hope for now is the announcement of a date, official announcement of the name of the album on her social medias/site, cover and tracklist and pre order!

Not a reliable source, but the Daily Mail reported February 20th so we’ll have to see if they’re right.

Vogue: Five years have passed since your last album was released. Is it easy for you to take a new direction after this time?

Avril Lavigne: First of all, I wanted to return to my roots.

Exactly not exactly, but simple, honest music. Not too much production, only the raw instruments. Lots of piano, a bit of drums, mainly my pure voice. Okay, but of course I still like a bit of rock 'n' roll, there is also a track with noisy electric guitars. But everything about the album depends on my vocals, not on a sound that you want to achieve artificially. Maybe that's why it has become so diverse.

Did you also write the songs with so many different instruments?

I think I have never put so much thought into an album in advance as now. I carried so many feelings and thoughts around with me - it took time and energy to translate that into songs. I sat for hours at the piano. It was easier at the beginning than with a guitar. That came later.


Basically sounds like GL 2.0 to me.
