Maybe Avril will release a back to back album. In her Facebook live, she said she had 20 plus songs and said she might release two albums. Maybe I have high hopes or something but maybe she put 12 songs with a certain feel in this album while the other songs are put into the another album.

She said in 2013 that she had enough material (from GL and AL) for two back to back albums that never saw the light, she's not with Sony, so we don't know if she is able to release those tracks someday, same with the Christmas album. I love Avril, but she really needs to stop promising things and everyone will be happy. Even if she now thinks to put the rest of this album in AL7, she will have to work in some tracks for the singles, then she would start writing more and will scrap all the previous material she wanted to put out. She's with a diferent label, if she does not claim for commercial success anymore, she can just put albums out every 2 years because she loves music and her fans too, with 10 tracks and maybe 1-2 singles with zero promo. She can even try with different genres for a full album, one country album, one jazz album, etc, etc. It is really easy now with all these streaming services they don't even need to release CDs anymore.

I am still mad for only 12 tracks, I don't care about the cover. Like someone said, what happened to the 4-6 tracks she did with Rotem, the 4 songs she wrote with Zane, the Travis songs are still in the album he wrote HAW, Warrior and probably Goddess or I fell in love with the devil. Also only 1 song with her best write Lauren Christy? It's obviously that the 20 songs won't make the cut but I do think 15 would be cool, 10 more minutes of her voice in new material. Where is In Touch, Lucky Ones, Don't Stop and Lights Out, I think these songs have the experimental material more jazzy and electronic stuff. All these songs that made the cut are probably new ones. I guess all this delay was for this, because the original songs of the album were all scrapped. It is really sad IMO, she's probably gonna say she will use the songs for another album, but, she always said that in every album and until now we don't have any back to back / compilation album. She does all other artists do. They record lots of songs and they scrap part of them. Taylor, Pink, Ariana etc etc etc You can’t be mad about this because this is an internal process and her vision. You haven’t even listened to the album to talk about this situation as you do. Wait and listen to the songs, then decide if you need more songs on the album or not. I don’t know why you all hyped with the damn In Touch. The title says absolutely nothing, it wasn’t even written by her and Bebe Rexha is such random featuring. I don’t want featurings in her most personal record.

I was hoping for more songs but whatever, I’d rather 12 solid songs than 12 songs + 3 poor songs to make up the numbers. If there’s only 12 she’s happy to put out there then so be it. There’s a reason we don’t hear some of her other songs (see Think About It)!!

The thing is that all these songs seem to be new, she really scrapped all the Rotem songs, why? because they are not together anymore? And you all said that BMG would never allow this because of the money and only Birdie made the cut. Bebe confirmed it was not a feature, she only has writing credits on it. Bebe is a good writer, Lauren was also in the track. All these scrapped songs had amazing writers: Tayla Parx, Rotem, Christy, Jason Evigan, Ilsey Juber, etc. And she end up with Ryan Cabrera. Yes, but it is too early to judge something as you said. Let's wait for february bye

Let's wait for february bye Warrior Head Above Water Crush Tell Me It’s Over Are from the first stages of the album when she was teasing us back in 2017. Birdie, I Fell In Love With The Devil and It Was In Me are probably from the early stages too (I think). I don’t think she has scrapped many songs from the early process. And we don’t know all the writters of the other songs. Maybe Godness is an early one too.

The large stripe is the saddle and it 'holds' the bridge where the strings are pinned and elevated slightly off the fretboard. Essentially it helps keep the strings in place for tuning. I'm pretty sure they're referring to this: Which is clearly poorly editing; it wasn't meant to be there, and it's not the guitar's saddle. Maybe your comment was meant to be sarcastic and condescending, I don't know, but if that was the case, you can ignore this Oh no, there was no shade intended, I'm sorry if I came across like that. I just saw "black horizontal stripe" and I genuinely thought they were curious about what part of the guitar that was. Edit: I haven't owned a guitar in a while so my memory of the parts is sus, I'll admit I jumped the gun and put my foot in my mouth.

It's just that, you know, that's a common thing here lol and I really don't like getting involved with those users. This guitar in particular has two black horizontal stripes (and one of them doesn't have a reflection) lmao

What's so shocking and dirty about the female body? (Spoiler alert: NOTHING) That's a truckload of strawmen over there, Ramona. The specific symbolic portrayal was (most likely) chosen because its also an easy bait - those who want a 'deep message' will see it as something raw, sincere, etc., those who want a pretty singing broad will see it as a picture of a pretty singing broad.

She practically started in 2016 but entered the studio in 2017, so you know - things changed, her vision changed, maybe even the topics she wants to sing about changed, her feelings changed. And she didn't scrap all the songs she did with Rotem She always says she can make two albums and she never does. By the way, let's wait for pre-order. Let's wait and see if they don't come up with Target exclusive or any other exclusive which may give us some extra tracks. Maybe they worked on a special bundles or something?

I love the concept. Black and white, naked. Gives me a “remove your clothes and enter the woods at midnight with your guitar to summon the dark lord” vibe.
Only reason I dislike the cover is it’s not a good photo of her? Her face looks awkward

I agree with the sentiments that it’s a good concept that conveys what she has felt over the past few years with her struggle - IMO it’s fairly straightforward in terms of what the image is telling you but as Tamy said there is clearly depth such as the water and the guitar in front of her like a shield. Editing goofs aside, I love it I know it’s not great to have a cover with those kind of things but honestly the image and it’s symbolism more than makes up for it; I am so excited for this album. Its Avril’s vision and what she wanted to make. And that to me is much more important than image editing issues. I strongly agree with your point. The editing issues are hardly noticeable for me, and this is coming from a perspective of someone that's been using Photoshop for years. If I'm going to be honest with you, people are genuinely not going to care and it won't even matter in the first place. What really counts it's the quality of the music that she'll bring within a few months. Overall I think the cover is alright, I have zero issues with nudity and it's actually more decent than her previous one back in 2013.

Do we know writing credits for these songs yet, or the producers?

Lmao Or the Kelly Clarkson Piece by Piece tragedy. And at least this cover isn’t scary looking like AL lol I feel like I’m the only person who legit loves this album cover. I won't say that I love it. But, I like it 100 times better than the cover of AL. That was horrid. As a CD cover, I don't think the mistakes will be noticeable, at that size. My only minor objection is that it is in black & white. I grew up in a time where B&W was for people that couldn't afford color film, processing and for that matter, TVs. So, I tend to dislike B&W in general. As far as her state of dress, we've seen more of her in a bikini than in this photo. What's most important to me is, will I like the content?
