Tomatoes, cheese, onions and some herbs. but i made pizzas with taco spiced chicken that my family loved. In italy were we went they had french fries on the pizza. find the things you like and put it on the pizza and find your favorite is my advice

I'm thinking mushrooms and something else but I haven't decided yet also french fries on a pizza sounds quite strange but I kinda want to try it ...

Ooh, I had planned on trying to make my own pizza at some point in the next few days. Will post on here when it's done. One piece of advice: go for the casual pizza, try those roles later. That can turn out as a complete mess, I know what I'm talking about, I had a recipe but there was so much topping it didn't stay in the role, everything was on the baking sheet...

The less fill the better.. you should almost have no fill at all! Been there done that too Or something we do, we buy mini baguettes and slice them open and make a mix with tomatoes(sauce), meat, onions and mushrooms and fill the baguettes with the fill and top with cheese. Taste good and it is 15 minutes then done.

I should try the mini baguette thing when I'm home alone again, I mostly not in the mood to stand in the kitchen for too long, an hour is fine with me, otherwise it's too long for me.

The hardest part of making a really good pizza is getting the crust right. I recommend beginners cheat. Some of the pre-made crusts are quite acceptable. I use frozen dough balls. The kind that are intended for making Italian bread. After it comes to room temperature, I roll it out and let it rise again. To keep it from drying out, I brush it with a light coat of olive oil and cover it with plastic wrap. If you are going to make your own crust, I recommend you bake it for 3-4 minutes before you add the sauce, cheese and toppings. I use mozzarella cheese and I make my own sauce. I put the sauce on first followed by half the cheese, then the toppings and finally rest of the cheese. If you go too heavy on the toppings, you will end up with a soggy pizza, especially if you trap them in between two layers of cheese like I do. Here's the thing... I love my pizza absolutely loaded with toppings and I hate soggy pizza. My favorite toppings are pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions and mild banana peppers. So, I take extra steps to remove as much grease and moisture as possible. I line a plate with a paper towel, then a layer of pepperoni, then another paper towel, then another plate on top of that. I then microwave it for about a minute. Just long enough to liquefy the fat that is then trapped in the paper towels. I go through a lot of paper towels when I make pizza. I lightly sauté the mushrooms and onions to cook out some of the moisture. The sausage gets cooked until it is nearly crispy. I then squeeze it between a bunch of paper towels to get rid of the grease. I squeeze the banana peppers in paper towels also, to get rid of moisture. Most people will bake a pizza at the oven's highest setting. In my oven, that means it's going to take 20 minutes. It's a lot of work but, I end up with a pizza exactly the way I like it. One final tip... If you like a crispy crust, like me, put the pizza on a cooling rack as soon as it's cut. If you leave it in the pan, the steam trying to escape from the crust will soften it.

Uncle Bob: I find the crust the easiest to make . Do not make a "fancy" dough that have to rise for 2h. I simply have yeast, salt, water, olivie oil, oregano and flour. And leave it to rise for 20-40 minutes before you work with it for about 6-7minutes and roll it out. But as you said don't put to much filling on. 200°C on hot air for 25-30 minutes then you have a nice pizza after my standards
