Her debut album is out called WHEN WE ALL FALL SLEEP WHERE DO WE GO?
She is a 17 year-old girl reminding me of Avril’s let go era (very different from other artists). She creates songs with unusual sounds that can’t fit in one genre. Some songs with scary sound and music video like “burry a friend” and “you should see me in a crown” are interesting aspects of her new album.
Her first single was called Ocean Eyes dropped in 2016. She has released many singles and one EP called Don’t Smile At Me.
Her songs are very deep in lyrics besides their unique sounds that makes me wonder how a 17 year-old girl can come up with these sad meaningful songs.
You should check her out if you haven’t by now. Please let me know if you think her unusual style reminds you of young Avril as well!

I love Billie, she's my new favorite artist. Though I like the Essentials from her, I only like one song from her new album so far.

A couple of days ago, I stumbled across something where Dave Grohl said "Billie Eilish Is Proof That ‘Rock ‘N’ Roll Is Not Close To Dead". So, I had to find out what he was talking about. Now, after listening to nine or ten of her songs, I think that might be the dumbest thing he's ever said. For those of you that don't know, he was the drummer for Nirvana and is the front man for The Foo Fighters. A true rock icon. I'm always eager to hear anything new that I might like. I'm not very open minded. My tastes are very well established. After the first half dozen or so I listened to, I concluded that she was just another one of those singers that has a great voice, but doesn't sing anything I like. Then I saw her and her brother do a three song acoustic set where the last song was 'Bellyache'. I thought that might be something I like, but not that version. Then, I searched and found the version she performed on Jimmy Fallon. I liked it a lot and really didn't want it to be over. So, I guess I'll just have to listen to it more. I'll never be a massive fan of hers. But, I'll give her music a fair listen. |

I saw Avril’s tweet too! It’s very cool she likes her too and she is now following Billie. But I wonder if Billie responds to her tweet and follows her on IG!!
Now that Billie is becoming my new favorite artist I love to see some collaborations between Avril and Billie cause she said in one interview that she grew up listening to Avril!!!

Since everyone was talking about her I checked 2 songs from her new album but found them creepy so I was done.
Don't like her voice too and I don't know. Saw an interview also and she is a typical angsty teen. I think I'm over that kind of genre tbh.
The video from Uncle Bob is interesting tho.

I actually heard about her on here when someone mentioned she was an Avril fan and that she was similar to Avril in her LG days. So I checked her out...I have to say she does remind me of LG Avril but not for the music. She has that tomboy style Avril had but with a weird Lady Gaga vibe sometimes. I'm not into the drugged look she sometimes has tho. Maybe that's in style idk I'm old.
I listened to her songs but only like YSSMIAC. I compare her sound to Lorde or maybe Halsey and don't see her as being very different to what's out there today. I did like the YouTube video Uncle Bob posted so maybe I'll look at some of her other performances and videos (not the spider ones tho). I also heard a lot about her character but have never seen an interview. Some describe her as down to earth and others say she's an angsty teen trying to be too edgy. Which reminds me A LOT of Avril. I've also seen concern for her because of her depressed and horrific imagery. Which I find interesting. She's definitely someone I'll keep an eye on but so far I don't see myself as a fan at all.

I have liked her for quite some time now.
Her EP is a masterpiece - Watch, Bellyache, Ocean Eyes, Idontwannabeyouanymore and Party Favor are all amazing songs!
Six Feet Under is great as well.
From her new album I like When The Party's Over, Bad Guy, Crown, Bury A Friend, ilomilo and my strange addiction the most
