Does anyone else feel like all the skating and dirt biking will probably be present in a MV soon? Something tells me Avril isn't getting into that only for fun and for instagram posts... I wonder if it's a theme on the collab with Modsun -- could "Ride or Die" be the title or at the very least part of the lyrics? It would go hand in hand with all the imagery she's been delivering lately. I'd be all for it, personally -- sounds like a super fun concept! We shouldn't have to wait too long to find out, which is brilliant. That's what I was thinking too! 😃 When she posted the picture with the caption "I need a ride or die" the first thing that came to my mind was "This could be a song she wrote". The pics and vids of her with the dirt bike always remind me of P!nks MV for "Feel Good Time", which I loved back then 😄

I'd love a Travis Barker collaboration on the album. He did drums on "I Can Do Better", "Runaway", "I Don't Have to Try", and "Alone", so if the instrumentals to those songs are any indication of what we should expect then I'm really excited! I'm excited for real drums. It makes a huge difference in her music and between Travis Barker and ModSun (who's a drummer too) I'm hoping at least some songs will have real drumming on again

I think that these ride or die thing was on an abbey dawn shirt or something, maybe I'm wrong. This is also part of the lyrics on one ok rock song she was featured on "listen", right? "... ride or die until the end." It could be nice if the title of the new song is that one but I'm expecting something more modsun rather than Avrilish thing for the collab. Also, I've been thinking how media is quite interested in Avril bringing the 00's back with this wave of pop/punk/rock style that travis nad MGK are showing. I have also been listening to yungblud lately and yeah, they definetely have these 90's/00's vibe that could be the right bridge for avril to walk on and have a hit that makes her relevant again. I don't want to get excited enough but with all these news and assumptions is kinda impossible!

Somehow I cannot be enthusiastic after so many disappointments even if those news are exciting... >.< but I really hope that this time she'll surprise us

I shouldn't be excited because it's Avril and things can change in a month. But for some reason i'm super happy to see her going back to her pop rock pop punk days. You know what, she has such great support from a lot of artists there. On Pop she doesn't have enough credit and there's a lot of competition. I feel like this era will give her everything that was missing from last decade. She just needs to LIVE the entire thing not just drop the album and go singing the exact same songs live, being bored on stage or give interviews where she refuses to talk about her own songs. What makes me really happy too it's the fact that everything she said in that zach sang interview about the album was 100% true. So she knew exactly what she wanted and back then the genre wasn't on the verge of a revival like it is now. She really was ahead of her time. So she's not trend following, just being herself!

In the past she always seemed to know what she wanted to do an album ahead of time. During LG she said she wanted the next album to be darker and rockier and she did that with UMS. While touring UMS she said the next album would be upbeat and fun to play live and delivered that with TBDT. During that era she said the next would be stripped down and more mellow and she did that on GL. The only problem was that the label stopped backing her and for the first time she lost her momentum.
I think fighting with the label, getting divorced and the album underperforming all knocked her confidence and made her fall out of love with music a bit. AL was a rush job she had no plan for and it didn't do well so that probably made things worse. Then Lyme hit and that seemed to take her right down to rock bottom. I think a little of her enthusiasm came back after that just because she was thankful to still have a career and she had some kind of idea what to do but I still got the impression she doubted herself and her music a lot and that's part of why she's so guarded about it

I feel the exact same thing RCA kinda broke something in her AL was a complete identity crises, she didn't know if she was going to be nostalgic or go for something completely new. HAW was damaged by her relationship with Rotem that we'll never know how far it went. I have such bad vibes from their pictures together. I don't like him. Never did Now i feel like she's really happy and passionate. It will be interesting to see how she'll handle a fun upbeat and celebratory album. And in 2022 her career turns 20. Just hope she finds herself and that confidence again reconnecting with her old self!

Does anyone else from Europe get excited in the mornings to check out her insta-page and the forum to see if even more information has been revealed regarding upcoming music? 🧐 Because that's totally me the last couple of days 😅

I always had an uncomfortable feeling about him. He just looked controlling and kind of weird around her
