AL7 Album Speculations Thread

Yeah! Feels like the inspiration somehow found her and hit hard. I love it!
But it also surprises me she’s so quite about being in the studio, no stories, nothing... perhaps it’s for the better, it doesn’t distract her. And it’s nice to feel like years ago when we had to dig a little to get to know something 🙌🏻

Omg, Travis is the ONE person I wanted her to collab with since TBDT. His drum work was sick! I never thought this could happen again. This is prepping up to be epic. Let’s just hope this IS the album and not songs that will get scrapped and that the album is actually coming in a few months

Let’s wait and see if the label is going to approve this 🙂 and how many songs from what’s being recorded now will we get.
Assuming she’s been recording her own stuff for about a month now, at this speed and with a short break for Christmas/New Year we should get the album around spring. But again - from recording in the studio to releasing used to the most challenging phase for Avril’s past 4 albums.

Fingers crossed this time she won’t have to go back and record something only to please some executives. It’s finally time for her to release something she will fully enjoy from start to finish 🙌🏻

I think being comfortable it's making a complete difference here. Maybe pop producers didn't get her the way the pop rock pop punk crew do? I'm loving all this pre-era so much aaaaah i miss this
Not even going to be pessimistic or realistic about it. I'm just happy

As far as we know, isn't she still with BMG? She is still listed on their artist roster on their website. I don't envision them making her go back to the studio. I feel like they kind of had to greenlight her working with these people, if they are the ones paying for studio time and all that. They wouldn't have her waste a bunch of time and money to work with people they would later disapprove of. But then again in the past she has just started making albums without informing the label, so who knows how these things work.

Also I could see them making her go back if the music sounded really dated, but she is working with modern pop/rock artists like MGK, ModSun, etc. who are currently popular in their genre.

BMG sort of disappeared tbh. The last release I’ve heard was Kylie... What else have they released? Are we sure they are even in business or bought out?

What is known about this record label? legacyrecordings.com/artists/ I saw Avril is on the artist list .. But with an old photo. I also saw old publications from years ago where they promoted her .. Is it an old record company that she belonged to? or has she joined them recently?
