They all got skeletons even mod sun. Mod Sun's definitely got Bones 
And I'm definitely on team "not many collabs please". I want Avril to have her own sound and voice and not get diluted by having too many cooks in the kitchen. If it would get to the point where it would end up being questionable how much of Avril herself really is in the music I think that would be quite disappointing.

I know I'm not a huge fan of collabs, but at the same time Avril has basically never done them and someway she's always been "Out" of everything..
All the new artist do collabs, and their fanbase grow and grow.. because they also mix and collide..
Avril did only once with Chad and it wasn't very fortunate since Nickelback are basically hated by everyone for no reason... I don't consider Marylin Manson or Evan.. because they can't really be called collabs..
She did one with One Ok Rock, which, imo, is a good song but Avril was already so famous in Japan.. better than nothing.
So ok, it's 2021 and a collaboration is ok! As long as Avril gets out of her comfort zone, and sees with her eyes how new artist work, produce.. faster..

Though I am into WCIS, Wings Clipped, and especially Listen.

I would rather Avril collab with someone because she wants to, feels a genuine connection with them, or thinks they would be suited for the song as opposed to just collabing with someone because it's the "popular" thing to do. Ex: She used Nicki on DB but like biggerwow said, they have zero chemistry since it's clear they didn't record at the same time and Nicki was added on at the last minute in some kind of attempt to sell more records. Most fans ended up preferring the solo version anyway.

FYI the HAW album thread and all its single threads have now been officially moved to the Recording Studio board in case anyone is looking for them. Since that era is pretty much over and we know she is working on a new album, I figured it was safe to move them. The tour thread remains a sticky thread since dates are still being rescheduled. If the name gets changed, we can make a new thread.

But on the other hand for me it feels like ModSun and her seem to fit much better and natural. But also I only know very little of ModSun. I just hope it will be good 😊 |

I think Avril would do good with a voice from Halsey in a song but that's an unpopular opinion around here hahaha!!
Also, Billie is popular but I think Avril would sound better with Taylor than Billie (if you focus on vocals). Taylor is huge too, it would make her chart again (for a while).
Otheriwse not a fan of collabs but I like Wings Clipped and Best Years Of Our Lives is also nice cause her voice blends good with Evan!
