I have to distract myself, I can't handle the excitement 😄 So I just listened to this acoustic version of MOD SUNs song "I Remember Way Too Much" and thought Avril would be perfect for it, she would own this song with her voice. MOD SUN likes doing acoustic versions of his songs, so maybe we'll get one for "Flames" too 🙌

Jesus! The climax is FREAKING amazing!
it's definitely not as energetic as i thought BUT i LOVE it. It gives me such 2004 vibes, very UMS. I have to say he sounds better than her tho. Maybe it's bc she sings the most mellow parts but i love when she "kinda" goes a little bit high. I also love the outro.
it is indeed a bit repetitive but nothing too annyoing, i rather say catchy. The songs that are repetitive tend to be also very catchy.
I'm expecting an amazing music video D':
the production is also amazing. This gets me so excited about AL7. Hope it sounds similar to this.

It's a grower.
I remember listening to Karma for the first time and thinking it was super repetitive too, and now I love it. I think the same will happen with "Flames".
The outro with Avril singing softly is delightful. So pretty.
The production is top notch and that's what gets me the most excited about this whole thing -- we might be looking at our best produced album since TBDT.

Remember when they were in the studio and made a story on instagram discussing bridges and how much Avril and John Feldman love bridges?
Ironically enough, this song could have used one to help make it a little more interesting and less repetitive. It would offer the song a new section with a different melody and more space in between the "I STILL BURN FOR YOUUU" line that feels like it's present way too much throughout the entire song.

I must say I kinda like his material! I think it's about time he gets more attention and praise, he's a very talented artist and always hands on with everything when it comes to his music. And now that he's sober everything is finally falling into place for him. I'm so glad Avril took notice of him. I'm so excited for his new album and the feature with Avril. |

Ok, just heard the LQ version that's up on zippyshare. Half of the song is quite meh, it feels unbalanced at times. But that last chorus is pop-punk perfection. So good!! The drums, the guitars, the energy, their voices merging together. Gave me goosebumps. That one last part is what gives this song a twist for the better, and might make it one of her best collabs. I though it would be more like Listen, and while it holds some resemblance, this is a much heavier track.
Excited for AL7!

I want both of them literally burning in flames in the music video. It's not even negotiable lol.
For some reason i imagine something like Love the Way you lie from Eminem and Rihanna with both of them fighting like crazy and ending up burning everything lol. I don't think they have the budget to do something like that BUT it would be pretty cool <3
