Maybe an official music video won't be coming out tomorrow, but perhaps a lyric video with visual elements, if you know what I mean. Usually artists at least upload a lyric video, if not an official music video. And these days, some artists basically film a video and put the lyrics over it instead of just having the lyrics pop up on screen. So it's possible they used some footage of Avril and Mod riding their motorbikes and will put the lyrics over it on screen for a lyric video?

Still getting used to it. On the con side: the song is pretty repetitive, and the lyrical content is not impressive at all. At least in the LQ version, Avril voice mixing in one part seems off. And not actually a con, but it is clearly a Modsun song feat Avril, not and Avril song. Pro side: I love the slower beginning the climax and the outro. While I think Modsun voice did a better work on being "punk", I actually like the mixture of the more melodic Avril side with the heavier sound. For me it changes enough the punk formula to be interesting. And Avril has many armonies and high notes as she had in GL-HAW which I always loved. In general, I'm all for this type of sound when it comes to AL7. Heavy but not generic poppunk. Unpopular opinion, but my favorite collab Avril has ever done is Bad Girl, as it almost doesn't feel like a collaboration and Marilyn Manson truly fits the song  . |

Good to know she also took part on the writting of the song! Even though they are repetitive, they are more interesting than some of the previous punkier songs she has written.

Knowing that the song is already out in some countries (or has leaked?) really has me itching to try and find it somewhere so I can listen right now, even though it's still Thursday where I live. But I'm actually glad it's not already (illegally) on YouTube or easily to be found through a quick Google search. I want to respect the artist; not being able to find the song makes it easier to wait. And it's only about 9 more hours for me. Interesting to see the song is only about 2:30 short. Somehow, I had expected it to be longer. But I guess it's quite common in pop-punk for songs to be rather short. At least that's my experience. Though I think that's something that may be a bit difficult for me; most of the songs I listen to are about 4 minutes long, some of my favourites are even longer than that. Anyway, I'm excited, and I'm so happy we got a midnight release!  |

A few Modsun vocals on the chorus are punkier, but I wouldn't say this is song is punk rock or pop punk, not in the way MGK and Karma are at least. It is clearly rock influenced, and it is not a rock a ballad. I guess thats what he meant by being Foo Fighters type of song. |

Idk about you guys but i love it. I expected a monotonous punk track, like those songs that is basically the same energy from start to end? Yes, this one is a bit repetitive but at least it has a lot of ups and downs and it gives the song dynamics. It goes up and down till the it builds for the climax and i think that's pretty cool.
I'm also really glad it's not a funny song. When i saw the cover i expected the worst lyric wise, but instead we got a pretty decent break-up song imho. It's not the most original and it's definitely not top literature but at least they didn't try to make it funny or about riding motorcycles lol, that was my main concern.
I think it will grow on you. It's basically pop-rock and it could fit anywhere in her discography from her 3 first albums. that's what i like. It's SO 2000's and yet it doesn't sound outdated.
I'm really happy they didn't dissapoint and i'm extremely happy and excited to hear Avril with guitars and drums again. We got a brief of that feeling with haw (song) but AL7 sounds really promising.
