I want the song to sound like real pop/rock or punk-rock. I don't care about Avril's vocals bc I know, after listening to the high notes in What child is this? song that she go be f*cking crazy with her voice. I'm super interested in the production of the song, the energy, drums, guitars, how would it sound? Something like the 00's poprock or has it a new sound? Luckily the countdown has already started and in less than a week we'll see how powerful the song is.

I'm pretty sure I'll like the song cause Avril + pop/rock pop/punk is a safe bet.
My only fear is that it falls within the land of generic and will be as forgetable as many other pop rock songs. After the years, I like the songs that were unique or pushed the limits into other genres more than the typical 00's pop rock ones.
I liked what Modsun has put out, is refreshing hearing that sound in a 2020 song, however I would love more experimentation when considering a full album.
I'll judge the song once it comes out and what to expect from the album. Hope its not generic and that corresponds with the quality level of writting and vocal performance Avril has grown with the years.
Edit: This of course is taking a leap of faith that the song produced for Modsun album will be in line with what Avril is doing now. At the end of the day is a song that may have come early in their working partnership and that is more an idea from Modsun with little to no input from Avril regarding the composition and the production.
