My immediate reaction to those photos:

I see her sitting there and "I'm still burn for you..." sounds in my head as the music video starts. I also can feel how good the scene where she's playing the guitar while modsun is playing drums will be. I'm living for that moment even though I haven't seen it yet.

I think the guitar scene in the warehouse we'll probably see fire around them 🔥I like videos like that.

As for "playing instruments" I doubt they need them or that they are really playing them but it looks cool so I'll ignore that lol

I'm very impressed that people here are actually enthusiastic and excited about Flames and AL7 and not being pessimistic. You can definitely tell this era will be very different from HAW.

Yeah, it's pretty fucking cool to see this collective wave of excitement and positivity for once, isn't it?

Being an Avril fan has been so painfully unrewarding for such a long time. I can only speak for myself here, but it feels like I've found myself in a place where I was completely used to being permanently disappointed in Avril and her career... to the point where I used to question myself "why am I still here". Every once in a while there would be something that managed to catch my interest and get me excited for a bit, but it would always be so short-lived in the grand scheme of things. For the most part I was completely disappointed in her growing lack of passion, lack of interest, lack of communication and her inability to grow as a musician the way I had always hoped she would do. Her music was also very hit or miss for me, there have definitely been many songs I loved off the last few albums, but in general I felt as though she was leaning more and more in a direction that just wasn't for me. With HAW I remember getting a lot of my initial excitement back and I still think the album was such a huge step in the right direction. But then the entire era was messy af and her actions didn't match her words regarding her newfound love for music and how the album meant the world to her and she couldn't wait to show it and perform it... She just didn't seem present at all.

So now to see her present, active, engaged, surrounding herself with people who have amazing work ethic and above all are super passionate about what they do... working with amazing musicians and looking genuinely excited to deliver new music s**ner than she has in 15 years. It's just pretty wild. I know things could still turn to shit, but it's so rare for me to be so excited and so on board with everything Avril does that I figured I might as well enjoy the ride while it lasts -- and hope that it really does last this time. 

What does it take to enter those Global Top 50 and Global Viral charts on Spotify? Because I feel like Flames should have entered one of those by now, it looks quite popular no?

Very true. One thing I like about Modsun's team is how they are all so passionate about the projects they work on. A quick glance at their socials and you can just feel that burning excitement to create something cool. And the fact that they deliver fast results is the ultimate testament of how hardworking and committed they are, which is fucking awesome.

I have a feeling Avril might stay in the same circle for her new album. We already know John Feldman is heavily involved and she was also at Travis Barker's studio that one time. We also know she's chosen to work with MGK's stylist. The guy who took these latest pics on the set of 'Flames' was also hired by Avril to capture her studio sessions with MGK and Modsun -- I really like his work, btw, I think her previous photographer during HAW was this girl named Ashley and her pics were alright, but not quite on the same level imo.

So yeah, above all I just really hope whoever she works with can push & inspire her to stay on top of her game. We don't need any more people enabling her "bare minimum" mindset. Please let that stay forever in the depths of 2020.
