It's fucking amazing. Love the continuity in all of his videos. Mod obviously had the coolest scenes, but it's his song, so that's only fair.
I really hope Avril works with these people for her own music. Holy shit. And the fact they got it done in one week, wow!

Yup. I love it. Period. It's the first time in a loooooong time I'm actually 'proud' in some way, haha.
It is undoubtedly ModSun's MV, but she serves a decent part. And 'Internet killed the rockstar', first thing I thought was 'Video killed the radio star!' (a song from the late 70's, I wasn't even born then xD). Also cool that he chooses to let his MV's follow each other up in a storyline.
Okay, now I go back and watch it another 10 times, haha.

Ok if Devil wasn’t such a good video I would say it this is her best since probably the GL era. INTERNET KILLED THE ROCKSTAR. Ok, that HAS to be about Melissa Initially I thought that this was a Mod Sun reference I didn’t get as I don’t know any of his stuff but then I thought is it a reference to streams, TIkTok, Insta etc... and how she is from an era of physicality but thinking about it now I think you might be right about the Melissa thing. |

Yeah I see what you mean about her lack of energy perhaps. Her miming at the beginning is a bit dodgy. But nonetheless it’s a well put together video made in the middle of a pandemic and they both look good. I just hope it generates extra interest in the song to get it higher up the charts as I do think it deserves to be in the charts. I feel dead old when I say this but current music is so bad! I just want rock, alternative, emo, punk rock and indie to be popular again! And this song should get the recognition it deserves.

Unbelievable such a good video was made just in one week and in between the pandemic. Very good job.
I see Avril at the piano, acoustic guitar, electric guitar... the graveyard which reminded me of I fell in love with the devil.. it's her. it's Avril, her nature. I love it

Wow Modsun brings it!! That tombstone embossed with 'Internet killed the Rockstar' is such a nice little middle finger to those who said Rock or Punk is dead! Avril looks great towards the second part... The opening lines I just wish she'd emote the lyrics and feel them like Modsun does...it's not like it's not her song... she did that in her past videos too. Thank God she got the energy kicking in at the very end. I am truly a fan of Modsun now... He is soo dedicated to his art. I think the difference with him and Avril is that Avril didn't really struggle to find success and got recognized at an early age. She has that attitude of been there done that.
For Modsun he is in his 30s and he is somewhat now finding a niche and success. The energy and motivation he brings is amazing and I hope it vibes through Avril as well!!

Yes, I agree that Avril doesn't bring enough energy. Specially in direct contrast with Modsun who is amazing at emoting and looking completely present in everything he does.
It doesn't surprise me because it's a common issue with most of Avril's videos.
I wish she would have shaken it up a little bit and go all out, but I don't think it necessarily takes away from the MV, so oh well.
My biggest pet peeve tho is seeing her pretending to play the instruments.
