This Mod Sun guy is really not my cup of tea. his image anyway. I did quite like the one song I have heard from him. He has potential. Avril looks great in this photo. I feel the same! Maybe this Mod Sun guy is quite cool. He's growing on me already. I guess getting a shit load of tattoos and dying your hair green is supposed to be fun. Maybe he's just a really fun guy. |

I think he's cool because he brings his excitement for music to Avril! He's very passionate about his work from what I've seen in an interview posted here in the Articles section and if Avril keeps being so excited and passionate about music he's a very good influence!! I really think he's a good friend for her to be around and he's motivating her I think (or kicking her ass so she's not lazy)  |

I think it's strange we're getting really close to release and now is the time they seem to become more silent compared to the past two weeks where there was something new on social media almost every day. Guess it could be the calm before the storm? Or maybe they're getting ready to promote it really hard or are last minute working on something for the release still (like a music video  )? Does it generally get more quiet right before releases happen? I would imagine that right before release is when you want to create the most hype so that when it drops it hits the ground running. |

If they don't drop a preview today, they don't even need to do it anymore. I'm positive by this time tomorrow some countrys will have it already. So it needs to happen today!

Yeah, I'm NGL, this silence has been a little disappointing. I don't get the point in announcing a song one full week prior to its release date only to then go MIA. She had been so active for weeks straight even throughout the holidays, and the minute she has an actual announcement to make she disappears and doesn't say anything again for the next 5 days in a row (and counting).
I'm sure they will post again either today or tomorrow to remind people about the song, but I feel like they could have definitely been hyping us up more.

I guess, it makes more sense to just posted the download/streaming/video link once it's out (as it will reach more people) then posting and hyping the song everyday until its release (if the fanbase was hyped just by the announcement). Fans already know the song is coming, the general public will (eventually) only care once the song is out.

^ It's not like the general public will massively pick up on this song either way. Their names don't hold that kind of power. And I certainly wouldn't expect them to hype up fans every day, but by now it feels like there could have been at least another mention on a story or something like that -- just enough to keep people guessing and to potentially get more people to pre-save the song.
They did the announcement on January 1st, which is a day filled with celebratory posts and multiple surprise releases/announcements by all types of celebrities. There's a higher chance of missing stuff on your feed on a day as loaded with content as that one, which should be another reason to want to mention the song more than once. I definitely expect them to say something again either today or tomorrow, tho.
Part of me wants to believe they've been busy finishing up the MV. Now wouldn't that be a pretty nice treat!

I honestly would have preferred Avril announce it Thursday saying itβs dropping at midnight. These days with streaming there is little point in announcing a single a full week prior to release. Outside of her most hardcore fans, most people are going to forget about it by then.
