The cover reminds me of this photoshoot from 2002. I had huge poster of this picture hanging on my wall. The revival of this type of music and style brings me back to my teenage years, I'm not sure if I really want that π

Just because 2 people are relatively supportive of each other doesnβt mean they have to talk to each other 24/7. ...though some of us knobs may or may not forget about this fact every now and then..  Also, those are some extremely torn jeans from Mod, I'd be too shy to wear them, ha ha. |

The pink haired Avril wannabe in the background it's so funny xD she (or her hairs) stands out too much lol. I like the cover but it's not the best picture i've seen to be honst. I like Bones cover better, even Karma seemed better. I do like the idea tho, it looks straight out of 2001 - 2005

I think if Flames is part of the album then there is probably at least one photo for the booklet with the two of them together where that song appears. |

Avril fans have always been super loud despite her dead career. So I'm not surprised especially with a song like Flames. Plus it's finally the right time for nostalgia and rock music coming back. So casuals are taking notice.
Sidenote I'd hate a cover like that for Avril π¬

(off topic).....do you guys think that there is any chance of bad blood between Avril and Billie? I know there were kinda close to each other(friendly)...but, we haven't seen them interact in a long time...Billie sceduled a vitrual consert same day as Avril did...and at the same date as "flames", she released her new collab... propably theres nothing going on....but...you never know...there's no actual evidence Billie is a huge fan of Avril and Avril has attended her birthday party, but Billie is almost half her age. They just don't have much of a reason to hang out or do stuff together. They don't seem to have much in common other than the "not like the other girls" image. Just to add on, I am online friends with this gamer I sort of "idolize." Other than playing games together once in a while, we don't talk all that much because our personalities just don't mesh well. |

Internet killed the Rockstar is such a great name for an album. I wish it was avril's aaaargh...either way i'm really excited to hear it. I just loved the 3 singles so far. I'm into this style again since the end of last year. Been finding pop music really boring lately

This was my first thought as well, seems very logical and easily fits into the same style as the cover. I honestly don't think the cover is great? It feels a bit generic to me. But I also kind of cringe at the title so I must fall outside the target audience. Looks like some of the same people from the music video and he's wearing the same shirt so I imagine they shot it one of the days they were shooting for Flames. I immediately spotted the Avril-alike as well so if even I do then it must be intentional. I agree with biggerwow that I really wouldn't like a cover like this for Avril. I want something colorful with attitude. Weird that Mod Sun has such decent stuff on the rest and then goes with this as the cover.

I'm not a big fan of Mod's album cover. It fits his aesthetic, but the shot itself looks a bit flat to me. I think the concept is cool and it does look like a cover from the late 90s/early 00s -- I can see it looking nice in one's collection for the folks who still buy physical copies -- I'm just not a fan of the photography. One thing I do love about it is how the title is incorporated organically into the shot by being on his shirt rather than an outside font splattered on top of the photo. That's clever.
Awesome new BTS pics of Flames too! Avril confirming one more time the new album will be pop-punk, I mean... we been knew at this point girl. Hopefully she spills the beans on when we can expect new music to drop. I'd love to know how far along she is in the process of making her record. There's really no concrete info at the moment.
