Seem pretty obvious to me, why she rejected this song!

Seem pretty obvious to me, why she rejected this song! Yeah same haha! It’s not that bad but I don’t like it that much… xD it sounds like a leftover from TBDT.. het voice reminds me of that era.

The chorus is pretty lame but I like the verses. I also like her voice and the style is very TBDT.
Could this be something she produced with the Runners or Bonnie McKee?

Okay after 2 more listens I say: this is a bop! Her voice is great, instrumental great, I still like the cheerleader-shouting, lyrics in the verses are good, chorus could better lyrically. I like it!

I wonder if this is scrapped from TBDT? I don't mind it, I find it pretty catchy.

This is definitely newer than TBDT as the quality is better than the mastering on TBDT and this is only a Demo… I would say GBL or AL5 era?
The only catchy bit is the ‘I’m addicted to danger coz I love and I hate ya’… the rest of the song is a bit * yikes *

I have a theory about this song - I feel like it’s possible she wrote this sometime in 2010 before RCA asked her to change GL. It sounds like some kind of song about how she was feeling from her divorce with Deryck, despite the fact they ended things amicably and continued to worked together, but I’m sure she still felt sad and depressed over it. This sounds like it could be alluding to how she felt as the divorce was proceeding. She had mentioned that she thought the album was too slow and needed some upbeat songs to balance it out, so maybe this was what she came up with before RCA ever stepped in.

I have a feeling she wrote this during or after her marriage with Chad because she used to mention alcohol in general but also whiskey much more when she was with him (at least that's how I remember). She was very focused on this rock star attitude and all these references. I mean she still is, but it seemed more obvious to me while she was with Chad (which was a weird time for her anyway). And I agree that there is this divorce topic flying around in the song - I just thought of her other divorce And I feel she wouldnt go back to this cheerleading sound right after TBDT. She kind of went for it again with Dumb Blonde, so I think this song might have been done between AL and HAW when she was still kind of all over the place
