Now that we have a remastered edition of LG, Iβm curious to know whether people prefer the new version of the album, or will you still listen to the original?
For those who never liked LG much at all, does the remastered version change your opinion?

Is this opinion to be given without considering the extra tracks but just comparing the ones already included in the original album, right? If that's the case, then I still need to figure it out by listening to every track twice with HQ headphones.

This is so hard to choose. I prefer the OG mixes of the main 13 songs, but prefer the new mixes of the unreleased/extra songs.

Ok I am loving the remastering of almost all the songs but Complicated is not the same (not in a good way either). I mean it's ok but it doesn't feel like a pop song or pop rock song, and I don't like, but I still listen to it.
I do have both versions downloaded on Apple Music as I have a playlist for the Japanese Edition of Let Go and I used the original standard edition with the original release of Why (which is on the My World EP and on AM it has "(Live)" after it but it's not live). I kept the original master downloaded on the standard edition of the album and then the remastered Dolby Atoms audio on the 20th Anniversary Edition.

Of course nostalgia plays a big role and having all Let Go songs stuck in my head for 20 years, makes it hard for me to prefer the new versions.
Anyways, I think this is the BEST re-master of an album I've ever heard and it makes it more actual.

The original will always be the OG debut monster, nothing will change that. If I had to introduce someone to Avril, it would be a no brainer, would definitely and strongly suggest the 2002 Let Go.
Having said that, as Gabbox said, this remaster is a masterpiece that has managed to make it sound more modern and it seems like it's Avril's more faithful version of how she would've wanted it to sound originally with the louder instrumentation and its diminished console sounds, and I think I see myself listening to this more than its 2002 counterpart from now on. My vote goes to the 2022 version.

I've only had a chance to listen to the remastered version once, but tbh I didn't like the changes they made. I get why they did - it was probably closer to how Avril envisioned it and it was a way to freshen it up without deviating too much from the original. But IMO the changes don't really add anything and I find myself missing those little details that were there that they removed. I don't know how often I'll go back to the remastered versions honestly, but I obviously love the inclusion of the bonus tracks.

Since there are some bonus tracks included I think I'd go back to the remastered version more often! I like the new versions quite much and even Sk8er Boi wich I was tired of hearing all the time seems interesting to me again!

In my opinion, overall, they did a great job with the remastered version. They kept the original sound but a little bit more modern. Now instruments sound better and louder, and as it's already been told here, probably it's what Avril would have liked from the beginning. Anyway, it doesnβt make the original version of Let Go worse, because it's just a very well-done tune-up, and it totally keeps the original flavor. We notice these changes because we listened to these songs thousands of times, but I bet that for a no fan of Avril wouldnβt notice a lot of change. So, from now on I will start to listen this new version of Let Go, because it almost changed nothing, and it has a bunch of new songs

I prefer the original mix. It's much more cohesive imo. The new mix is sort of half-half, I like parts of it a lot, other parts I don't like, and I very much dislike the new mixes of SB and ABO, they sound quite unbalanced to me. I've only listened to the anniversary edition once so far, though.

Oh d*mn i never saw this topic. Well, even though LG isn't my favorite record by her, i like the remastered version better, because it feels like a breath of fresh air AND because it finally has Breakaway on it.

I really like the 20th anniversary edition because it's a bit darker/more aggressive (heavier guitars and drums) which I like. I also think her voice stands out more.

I like the anniversary version but I have to say that nothing beats the original

I definitely prefer the original 2002 version. I love the new mixes and how a lot of songs have a more rock-edge now, but I've been listening to the original versions ever since I started listening to music in general. Let Go was the first album I ever purchased and the original version of the album brings back so many memories from my childhood and teenage years. So even though nostalgia is playing a huge role here, the original is my preference.

I definitely prefer the original. What I've heard of the remastered versions is pretty bad. Everything just sounds messy and cluttered like they've pulled every single sound in the song to the front. Nothing's subtle or in the background anymore and her voice gets a little blocked out by it. Why is the worst. The original has a simple vulnerability about it but the new version loses all that charm. I do like Breakaway though since it's an all new recording
