not sure if it's for this thread, but I'll post it. I just thought of a Daydream song. Half of the song was already available before the release of UMS. And the fans chose Don't Tell Me as first single. And as a result, we don't have a full version of Daydream in excellent quality. Demi Lovato sang the Daydream song in 2008. She changed the lyrics a bit, but most of it sounds like Miranda's version, which released the song in 2010. So these two have heard Avril's full version of Daydream! Lucky ones! For the 20th anniversary of UMS we must hear Avril's version! How I hope so... unreleased from UMS is just my dream. That doesn’t add up because Avril said she wanted MHE as the first single from UMS. Her label chose DTM |

I've heard both stories. Avril could have wanted MHE and the label chose DTM because it tested well on that site.

There were a few different track lists and sometimes more than 12 tracks so it wasn't a case of pulling a song to make room for MHE, just that Daydream and Take It were both on at a point then suddenly (So Much For) My Happy Ending appeared out of the blue. All the other songs that made the album were there from the start if I remember correctly (and maybe a couple others like Fast or Not Gonna Run) |

TBDT hasn't had many leaks but we did get a few non-album tracks like Alone and I Will Be, as well as the Puffy AmiYumi versions of I Don't Wanna Be and All Because Of You which don't sound like they were changed much (I swear you can still hear Avril's vocals in parts) so it feels like more than UMS. That only had IAGWIW, Take It and part of Daydream. There weren't even many rumoured song titles. Or maybe it's just because I like UMS era better that I'm more curious.

You guys honestly aren’t ready for Retrograde!!…it’s verses are so unexpected and that drop at the end of the song 🔥…deffo a dark horse based off the snippets!! Only kinda “odd” thing is that there is no bridge which is very unlike her. Doesn’t take away from the masterpiece it is though!! 🙊 imma speak my mind because people like this get on my nerves. 1.) we get it you have the song, but you get 0 right to come on here and brag about it and tease and not even share the songs and basically “gatekeep” with fans and that is annoying. 2.) don’t need to share info just to tease fans if you aren’t even gonna share the song with fans that have been waiting so long anyways just to make us even more mad. it is so annoying. just saying Yeah, I’d be annoyed too to be fair! But I would like to point out I didn’t JUST come on here to brag…I’ve been an active member here for a loooonggg time (2004 I think before the switch to pro boards). Also, we’re in a thread called “leaked songs discussion thread”. Surely if you don’t like the content of the thread maybe don’t visit it? I’m simply posting information in the relevant thread. 🤷🏼♂️ And also I’m in no way gatekeeping. You by all means have the same tools as me in order to get/obtain these songs. Your no less gatekeeped than I am/was! I’m not personally going to leak the songs because I have some genuine respect for her and not going to be the one held accountable for these getting out. |
