The old demo is way better just because of how they ruined the first verse with this latest one. The piano on the first verse had an amazing dark vibe that worked better with HAWâs theme and the lyrics and structure were much better.

Yeah not a fan of the solo version honestly, the verses on the Lauren version are far superior, and I found this version just plain boring. Lyrics in the verses are weak. I would have preferred the solo version to be just like the Lauren demo but just with Avrilâs vocals. I wonder if the Lauren demo came first and then Avril reworked the verses because I canât otherwise understand why Lauren was ever singing on it.
Ultimately I think it makes sense why the song in either form got scrapped. Has nothing to do with HAW thematically and this version especially is to pop/electronic/dance.

I remember when Avrilâs solo version of âLucky Onesâ leaked and I was freaking out and crying because it was a song I had been dreaming of listening to in Avrilâs voice for years. I felt the same way now with âBreak It So Goodâ but obviously much less intensely. These leaked songs also give us clues about how song production of major artists works. Remember how many different versions of âDumb Blondâ they recorded? It must be a lot of work, recording, remixing, trying to finally find the right way.

God, Avril needs to stop throwing around words like psychopath/psycho/narcissistic and then say she loves those people or "love it when you hate me". It's so immature and disturbing.
I hope Close is not from AL8 sessions cause it sounds like 2013.

Agreed, the solo version sounds kinda empty at times. Shouldâve just been like the og version but with Avrilâs vocals instead of Laurenâs.

I must be listening to a different version of BISG because both versions suck. The chorus is plodding and repetitive with no feeling at all. Avril's version is obviously unfinished with no 2nd verse or bridge but at least the first verse has some kind of hook.

I just listened to Lucky Ones in full for the first time (I knew this song since 2 years ago, but only heard the snippet), the song is beautiful.
If only Avril didn't scrapped Lucky Ones, Break It So Good, Bright, In Touch. AL6 will be like Folklore or Evermore in Avril discography, or the evolved version of Goodbye Lullaby.
