Finally got around to listening to the new Break it So Good leak. I prefer the "original" leak version. But the lyrics make me wonder if this was sort of re-worked into Love It When You Hate Me? The lyrics are very similar in the versus.

Is it only me who thinks Close just sounds outdated? Sounds like the type of EDM that was popular around 2013-2016. And yeah they’ve done something to her voice that just hurts my ears listening to it. I hate when they do it. This reply is 100% me when I first heard Bite Me  |

Wow this is seriously awful. The trap beats don’t suit her at all and this song sounds super dated, like something out of 2012-2013. I wish she’d stop writing songs romanticizing toxic, unhealthy people. Maybe a decade ago that was more commonplace in music, books, and movies but not so much now. It’s really weird. (Maybe that explains why she’s with Homer). I’m glad this was scrapped. It seems like they used it to rework into Shut Up (“blah blah blah”) and especially LIWHYM |

I actually like psychopath, it’s good to hear her on something a bit more pop/rock. Interesting that it’s also missing a second verse. I wonder if she was planning to have a feature on it?

I don't like the rap part, it sounds very forced. And she started the song with the chorus, AGAIN. She really should learn how to write verses or use someone's help. The song sounds like a demo, that's why they're just copying the melody and lyrics from one part to another part (Like Dumb Blonde demo).
Anyway it's a fun/crazy song, I think the last time she did it was with Bad Girl in 2013. I like this persona of Avril, but she never really want to push it because maybe she's afraid of being labeled as Miley 2.0. She can't even release the Bad Girl music video.
