I want to hear Avril get as close to sounding like Evanescence but with her usual cheeky spin. Like I think we got a half baked version of this with Birdie, Head Above Water and Fell In Love with the Devil but there was defo room for these songs to go harder…

Guys i know this is silly to speculate but…
Avril just made a new story save thingy called New Tour dates…. So this is definitely a tour not just festivals….. 👀 soon and I mean actually soon in the next 6 months

Yeah there's a few dates that aren't festivals - both the UK ones and Croatia I think? But yeah surely there must be something coming early next year or there's no point doing these. She's never just booked shows for the hell of it.

I want a proper follow-up to Love Sux I'm not done with that era yet Me neither, glad someone feels the same! Me too. And I'd say most of the people I've talked to have loved the album and era. By far her most acclaimed album since TBDT. I hope she sticks to the sound of the album, keep the heavy guitars, live drums, and make a 180 degree turn on the lyrics and subject matter. Yes, she can talk about relationships, but I'd love to hear more than "you suck, go to hell motherfucker", and get a more reflective and introspective side to her. I want lyrics that are cleverer and that keep you thinking, and take you on a journey. I also want her to add more ballads and mid tempos this time around. As good as LS is, it does get a bit tiring once you get to a third or fourth fast-paced song in a row. That's where I think the diversity should be. Other than that, she was born to be an alternative artist and LS proved that once again. It's where she shines best and her place to be. I hope these festivals are a sign she's keeping her alternative, more pop/punk rock sound and she'll now try to win some followers from there. |

Don't get me wrong me wrong. I was as excited as you are about her until some years ago. Soon you will see how predictable her whole career became. Not that much of a new fan... Going 2 years in January. Casual fan since 2020. Also im almost 21 no need to talk to me like a child thank you very much. I can criticize Avril when needed like i did when she was with Tyga and supposedly cheated and i even had an internal struggle whether to still be a fan but here we are now hyped for the new album. I do think she could improve her setlist a little but I also understand why. More crowd reaction, Nickelback did the same thing played almost all there biggest hits and they said in an interview they like to do that cuz they like hearing seeing the crowd sing along with it, SO honestly i ger why Avril plays her hits for the majority because then it feels like youre just singing to yourself. My mom is a Pink fan, an sawcher on concert, first thing she said "Oh she was awesome she played all her hits" Hell even Taylor Swift despite how big she is, is also singing all her big hits and thats why the eras tour is so popular too not just because its Taylor and shes amazing, because its songs almost everyone is going to know. So its a concert thing not just an Avril thing. Hell i say for Av, keep your this and just add some other songs and do surprise songs. Make a 20-25 song setlist. And alot of people i know have been fans for years and years and absolutely are still big fans and hyped for AL8. So thanks for the disrepect but no thanks. Im a fan and will always be a fan until I die ok? Thanks |

I don't really know what I want from AL8. I just can't take the lyrical content of LS again lol. I'm not too fussy on sounds - I've enjoyed all of the sounds she's given us in their own way (other than GL ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz). My favourite is her mid-tempo stuff so I guess I'd learn towards that. I just need something that isn't about how all guys suck and her never taking accountability for anything ever. It's so unrelatable.

Even if I enjoyed a lot Love Sux era, because it was very refreshing, I don't want a sister album. One Love Sux was enough.
I would like "Longer" songs, not 1:51 songs, cause some Whatsapp recordings I send to my friends are longer.
I also want richer lyrics. If I think of Keep Holding On, Nobody's Home, Who Knows. I mean, some story-telling. Sk8r Boi, another good story she even plans to make a movie about it. Could such a thing ever happen for Bite Me or Love it When You hate me? of course not. They're fun, enjoyable, happy she did them, but now I don't need the same heated soup.
