I think she can definitely do a pop/rock sound that isn't as upbeat as LS (although there will probably be a few pop punk songs on there). I think it might be more like LG/UMS in terms of tempo, not slow but not super high tempo all the time either

I was wondering as Well If we ever got daes for a Tour before we even had an album like this time?
I would say I have three requests for AL8
1. Dark Pop Rock with mainly mid tempo, a few up beats and one or two really slow ballads (not the fun upbeat track as lead)
2. Have a professionally recorded live (acoustic) set with mainly AL8 album tracks! No complicated, no Sk8er Boi, no Losung grip, no girlfriend, no im with you weve had them thousand of times
3. Decent europe solo tour in 2025
This tour next year is alright I mean I get it it could be good Promo but its Not a Tour for fans Just Like the 1000st time she records complicated in an acoustic set isnt for her fans.

She has done promo tours before doing an official world tour, as in the case of TBDT where a promo tour ran throughout 2007. It looks like she did a handful of dates prior to the album being out but the majority of the dates happened after.

Yes cause she had started in February in USA and ended in August in Europe + she did some in Japan like Summer Sonic at the very end. All festivals. By the time she was here in Europe in July, the album was already out and I remember it because she had signed my TBDT booklet. She had sang many songs from TBDT (hot, girlfriend, I can do better, runaway, everything back but you), but now I can't remember if she already sang these songs in the American leg of this festival tour when the album wasn't out yet. Now I have this doubt. Because who knows if she does the same thing here and after Europe she goes to Asia again, will she sing songs we still don't know? is the album planned to be released during this tour? so many questions |

Well anyone can edit anything on Wikipedia. Avril made it pretty clear the Love Sux era is over once the tour ended with her social post. Exactly. And i feel like these dates would say Avril Lavigne Love Sux tour or something. This is something entirely different |

I don’t think we can compare what she did in 2007 to now as the industry is totally different. At that point it made sense to perform songs from the album before its release to encourage people to buy it once it came out. But now with streaming being the way most people get their music, this would be a terrible idea. They’d hear her sing the songs and want to go add them to their playlist right away but they’re not there yet. She’ll lose lots of potential streams. So I think whatever she performs will be released beforehand. She probably also wants people to know the words so they can sing along instead of her performing to a crowd staring at her blankly.
There’s been very few times she’s performed an unheard song. One instance was “17” at The Viper Room, the other was RNR I think just coming out and she was surprised when she visited Asia I think that the fans knew the words already.
