Maybe the next album will be kind of like self-titled, in the way that she’ll do multiple genres and styles of music without sticking to one main sonic theme. Some pop-punk songs, some pop-rock songs, maybe something really experimental like Hello Kitty and a few country/country-influenced songs.
If AL8 will be country/country-influenced, I could picture an Avril country album consisting of songs similar to Falling Fast, which has slight country influences and imo has always been a very underrated song in her discography.

So weird and kinda funny I literally had a dream about Avril and Nod they were tat my house and talking about the split and then they kissed and started to rekindle and I wake up and I see this.
Could just be a collab work dinner there was t really evidence of them dating as they weren’t holding hands or anything but he seemed like a chill nice guy nonetheless. If she does do country songs I’m down I’m just like where’s the damn album lmao

Let Go is her biggest album for a reason…it’s rock and heavily country influenced. Country music has the best songwriting, bar none. And post Let Go, her BEST songs have all had country elements. It’s where her voice naturally sounds the most gorgeous and her ability to sing with such conviction shines. And before everyone starts getting all riled up, here are songs that could EASILY be right at home on a Miranda Lambert or Kacey Musgraves album with minor production changes (meaning they already have 95% of the elements of a contemporary country song): - Fall To Pieces - Everybody Hurts - 17 - Give You What You Like - Hello Heartache - Falling Fast - Hush Hush - Head Above Water - Tell Me It’s Over - Avalanche - Break of a Heartache -All I Wanted |

You know it’s possible for her to just hang out with people sometimes right? Why does every person she associates with have to automatically mean they’re either dating or working together?
She’s expressed numerous times how much she loves country music, they were probably both in town for the Grammys or something and somebody connected them. Maybe she likes his music and just wanted to get dinner together, maybe she wants to talk to him about country music. I doubt anything will come from this, maybe in the future they’ll duet together or something, but it just looks like a casual outing. It doesn’t have to mean she scrapped the whole album lol

Also Nate was in town for the 49ers game on Sunday so they might've just linked up But i also think for us we're taking precautions cuz remember about this time a year ago we were like oh Tyga and AVril could just be hanging out and then... boom. In the span of her entire 21 year career, can you show me 3 photos of her going to dinner with industry people whom she didn’t end up working with/ have a professional relationship or business connection? Going to dinner is usually the mark of “we just made a good song” or “we just signed a contract, let’s celebrate”. |

As people pointed out already, she used to hang out all the time with people like Paris Hilton and they were just friends, they never worked together on anything. I just think it’s jumping to conclusions to say they’re collaborating or that she’s scrapped the album based on literally one dinner they had together. And we definitely know they’re not dating because she’s dating that Luke guy. I’m not saying it’s not possible they could work on something in the future, now that they’ve met, but people are reaching so hard based on practically nothing. It’s cool that she hung out with somebody new outside her circle, but let’s just wait and see what happens. Maybe something, maybe nothing! In either case, I doubt she scrapped the album and is now making it a country album lol

She’s been hanging with country singers/ following them since she started recording AL8. i do think that she’s taking notes from why Let Go resonated with so many and has such wide appeal, and it’s mixing the two elements of pop/rock/ and country for this record, and has been all along. |

Twice in 22 years, so it's clear people think they're working together or something. Actually, I think it’s only Paris. Avril didn’t go for dinner with Shakira, they were just at the same restaurant and left at the same time after saying hello (if I remember correctly). |

I’m totally here for Avril to make a few country songs (because realistically I don’t see her doing a whole album) but I honestly think Avril doing country is going to be one of those things she talks forever about doing but never actually will, just like this long awaited Christmas album she has been talking about doing for literally years and it still hasn’t materialized. Or how many times she’s talked about doing a double album and never has. She says a lot of things lol With her track record, I’ll be amazed if the Sk8er Boi movie ever gets completed.
