[ALBUM] AL8 Speculation Thread

Avril is following Beyoncé. Beyoncé is only following one person and that’s Jay-Z

no they're referring to an insider's recent tweet where they claim Avril is working on a collab with someone unexpected, for their album. So Avril would be the feature. This could be true as they also said Because would be doing a country album and that was just confirmed.

Regarding her follows, I think majority of the time Avril is just following anything she's remotely interested in or people she comes across.

It looks like everyone is about to start a new era. Like, March is super crowded already, and Avril almost always drops new music in the most "competitive" moments. So I'm starting to expect something by next month.

OMG. I can't believe Avril released "Bite Me" right in the middle of Adele's and Taylor Swift's comebacks.

She's truly a warrior who doesn't bow. 

With all these big releases coming up in the next few months I wouldn’t be surprised if that will delay any plans Avril might have had. I think no new album will be out till the end of the year or early next year. She is probably just going to focus on the greatest hits tour this year and record more material.

There’s always going to be somebody releasing something or surprise dropping something. She can’t worry about what other people are doing. I don’t see why it should really matter honestly. Just put out the music when it’s ready and when it seems like the right time. She can’t be overly concerned with what others are doing or else she’d never release anything.

I agree but then you get IFILWTD in the middle of summer and it just doesn't click 😅 it would've been a perfect autumn/halloween single.

Anyways, i'm not even sure if i wanna see country Avril to be honest. If it's something more toned down like early LG, Tomorrow maybe. Even early Taylor for me was a bit too much country for me, i only liked some singles here and there (pretty much the poppier ones) so i don't know if country Avril will have any impact in the industry or in the fandom overall.

Maybe it's my european ass that just doesn't connect with country that much or how an american would have more ease to do it.

If i'm being completely honest, what i would want from her right now is LG 2.0. Same genre of music, adult pop, pop-rock and some acoustic songs here and there. Early Alanis, Sheryl Crow, Michele Branch type of 90's pop rock. With lyrics from a person who's been 20 years in the industry.

Not only LG is her most know album and most acclaimed, but the overall quality makes it timeless, and it would be the best throwback, people would literally have nothing to complain about. Like...remember how excited we all were for a song like 17? just like that. (she then ruined the studio version but still, it was a great song and a good path for her).
