I agree but then you get IFILWTD in the middle of summer and it just doesn't click 😅 it would've been a perfect autumn/halloween single. Anyways, i'm not even sure if i wanna see country Avril to be honest. If it's something more toned down like early LG, Tomorrow maybe. Even early Taylor for me was a bit too much country for me, i only liked some singles here and there (pretty much the poppier ones) so i don't know if country Avril will have any impact in the industry or in the fandom overall. Maybe it's my european ass that just doesn't connect with country that much or how an american would have more ease to do it. If i'm being completely honest, what i would want from her right now is LG 2.0. Same genre of music, adult pop, pop-rock and some acoustic songs here and there. Early Alanis, Sheryl Crow, Michele Branch type of 90's pop rock. With lyrics from a person who's been 20 years in the industry. Not only LG is her most know album and most acclaimed, but the overall quality makes it timeless, and it would be the best throwback, people would literally have nothing to complain about. Like...remember how excited we all were for a song like 17? just like that. (she then ruined the studio version but still, it was a great song and a good path for her). I don’t want country either tbh. I think what can she possibly bring to the genre that hasn’t already been done before? I don’t think she possesses the writing capabilities to do country. I agree I’d like to see her go back towards the sound of her first two albums (I mean the MHE, Nobody’s Home sound from UMS). I wouldn’t mind seeing her work with Lauren Christy again or someone like Ryan Tedder. If she stays in the same sound as LS it will just be Love Sux part two. |

Random dream time
Last night I dreamed that she posted a bunch of really brief clips from her new album. From what I recall most were quite upbeat but not like LS, more like Runaway or something and more midtempos. The most interesting though was the last song which sampled the music from 'The Winner Takes It All' by ABBA.

I’m not sure about country from Avril either. A feature on someone else’s song could be fun. But Avril absolutely does not have the storytelling writing abilities for a good country song lol. Country is my favourite genre but I’d be very happy for her to just stay in her lane on this one.

Nobody's Home is going viral on Tik Tok. 500 Videos using the audio only yesterday nights. The song earned 100k streams yesterday on Spotify against the usual 25-30k Streams. And it was just added on big Spotify playlists like: Finally a good choice!! p.s.:Avril must be pissed for having to rehearsal this song for Greatest Hits tour!  She was probably planning to use this as a "surprise" song... now there are more chances for "Nobody's Home" as a fixed single on the setlist. |

NH is used as musical background. Most of the clips are in English. Would be good to start translating them in other languages to get broader appeal. |
