Anyone as infected by M.I.A.'s new tune Borders as I am? I love the story behind it and how directly it speaks regarding our recent world issues.

A really great artist I discovered just a year ago and I deeply respect is Indila. Indila is a French, pop singer whose debut single, Derniere Danse and debut album, Mini World, topped the charts in Europe last year. She's a truly amazing singer as well as songwriter. Her music can be described as "soulful", a bit "melancholic" as well as sometimes "hopeful". At least, that's how I would describe it. She has a great voice in my opinion, which accompanies the melodies of her songs really well. Here are some of her songs.

The first and the third song sound like something I would hear in an opera concert. Feel very classic Maybe it's because they are French I really like these songs, I'm thinking about buying some of her songs. Edit : Reminds me of Paris attacks

Got interested in French pop yesterday, so started listening to Lara Fabian, a very well known classical crossover / French pop singer-songwriter from Belgium.
She has sold over 20 million records worldwide and is the best-selling Belgium female artist of all time.
Here are some of her songs. (The first song is in English)

I first listened to it about a few hours ago and by now, I've listened to it like at least over 10 times. I think I might be addicted to it. It's so catchy that I can't get it out of my head or stop listening to it. That's how much I like it.

One of my favorite musicians and generally, artists, is Adrian Von Ziegler. A composer from Switzerland, who composes many genres of music including celtic, neoclassical dark wave, world music, fantasy music as well as emotional music and relaxing music. He also makes electronic music occasionally as well as metal and film music. Some of his songs have vocals, while others do not. His music has no lyrics whatsoever most of the time, just music. He is an independent music artist, who mainly uses a very old keyboard and Magix Music Maker among other instruments to compose his music. His discography consists of 15 albums, including also two Celtic music compilations. Here is some of his work.

I think I am not the right person to give you some hints, cause I believe our taste is quite opposing. But maybe you may like Stacy Clark.

I've never listened to her other music or even checked out any of her songs, apart from the collaboration with Madonna which was released 3 years ago and her new track, Borders. But since I'm so obsessed with her new single, I'm thinking about checking her other music out as well. Are you a fan of her?

I really love her first record Arular, which was released in 2005, but also her last record Matangi. Her music is not that easy to digest, some find it annoying at times, others too rushy and even others too complex, so you have to check out some of her songs to get a feeling for it. I personally love her for that style and the aggressiveness, but sometimes a song gets really crazy and there's a lot of change in tempo and rhythm. I'd recommend: out of Matangi, 2013 "" "" out of Arular, 2005: ""
