The Ultimate Avril Lavigne Rating 2015

WYWH in the top 10? How? I thought everyone thought it was so poorly written and too pop/generic. It's catchy and she shows off some impressive vocals on it but IMO it's poorly written and way too repetitive. Should be nowhere near her top 10 best songs.

I don't get the fuss over Hush Hush either. Lyrically it's nothing special and it's such a basic, generic pop ballad. Top 5? Really? Ugh!

MHE and NH are both pretty overrated in my mind. I expected it but... To me undeserving positions.

KHO should be way higher, at least Top 5 if not #1. It's one of her strongest songs ever to me, great lyrics, strong melody, great vocals, emotion, production... everything about it I think is just perfect and to me one if the best songs she's ever released in every aspect. I also think Complicated could have been #1, it's a pop classic, genius pop gem, iconic.

Is anything ever going to beat UMS/MHE/NH? I mean what's the point in doing these ratings if the results are so predictable and the same songs always win?

I think that all of these songs deserve it and at least now I know which songs are actually most popular amongst fans. WYWH and Hush Hush was a big surprise for me.

I'm happy with the top 10 but I think IWY should be above NH. I don't get the love for that song, it's a good song don't get me wrong but I think the music video is what makes it - not the song itself.

I'm sad AL is in 5th place, I honestly don't see why nobody really appreciates this record. It has a little bit of each album inside it. My ranking would be:

1. UMS
2. Avril Lavigne
3. TBDT/LG
4. GL

GL is great when you're at a certain point or feel a certain way in your life but it's a little bit too sad for everyday listening although it does have some of my favorite songs on it (RW, WYWH).

It gave us the iconic MHE, there's no reason it shouldn't be. 

I think most of the top 10 songs are quite overrated. The only song that really deserved to be in the top 10 is Nobody's Home. Not that I hate the other songs. Most of them are great, but I think Avril has better songs. As for Complicated: although it's not one of her best songs imo I can totally see why it's in the top 10, and I probably would've put it there too. It just reminds me of my childhood. How I sat in front of the TV watching the music video and totally loving it and the song, but unable to remember the singer's name...
I just still don't understand why people love Wish You Were Here so much. I used to rather dislike it, but by now it's kind of grown on me. However, I definitely prefer the acoustic version, because it doesn't have these annoying drums. I still would've put it somewhere in the top 30 or so.
And I Will Be is even cheesier than WYG. I had no idea people loved it so much.

I think that AL is the least favourite album because something just went wrong during the era. The album was delayed many times, the songs didn't get great promo, Avril wasn't happy about having to make last minute changes to the album... And I remember how disappointed I was when I heard Rock N' Roll for the first time. I swear I was never disappointed with her music before.
Maybe it's just me but I enjoyed the previous eras much more. I still remember how happy I was when Avril performed WTH for the first time etc., but I don't remember such feelings about the last era.
But maybe I just got old and grumpy.
