In fact, I read somewhere that the UK is somewhat behind the times regarding its internet infrastructure. Correct  Anyway here's mine- bear in mind I live in the countryside, though. Dowload speeds here in the UK more or less suck unless you're super lucky and they put cable in your area (my exchange is enabled for this but they haven't put in the cables lol) or you live somewhere like London. What I'm paying for (50mbit/s), is what I'm getting. My current provider is just a miracle after previous ones. Not to mention that I'm living near the border of war conflict with Mordor and its orks.  |

This doesn't explain why it takes over 20 seconds for a flash to load in my home 
And it almost takes forever for the "edit post" page to load  |

14.93 mbps with Vodafone. I love my Internet connection when I moved into this house, there was a girl from China living here so she needed something good to watch stuff in China and when she moved out she left the Modem here.

This doesn't explain why it takes over 20 seconds for a flash to load in my home And it almost takes forever for the "edit post" page to load Could be a problem with the site, a problem with your computer, your browser, your local network, your WiFi, your OS, your config, your files, etc. etc. Plus there's always a possibility that Speedtest simply isn't displaying an accurate result. You could at least rule this out by using another service to test your connection. |
