The accent is something she has done since the beginning of her career so I wonder if it’s just her Canadian accent, but for some reason she exaggerates it a lot these days. If this is true that it stems from her natural accent, perhaps during her early albums when there was much more label involvement, she could have been influenced in the studio by the producers to do her best to hide the accent. And now the accent sounds more pronounced because she’s not suppressing it.

I quite like this leaked version of Warrior…I honestly might prefer it over the other versions. It’s kind of crazy that out of all the HAW songs, we have the most versions of Warrior. Album version, “We” re-re-recording, pop leaked version, acoustic leaked version, and demo leaked version.
I’ve always liked Don’t Stop and In Touch. I like Break It So Good too, but wish it had only had Avril’s vocals on the song. I would have been happy with the version of HAW if it had stayed in that direction. It’s a style of pop we have seen from her. And although it had some slight outdated sound to it, it was kind of mellow and not an over-the-top style of pop.

I haven’t been the biggest fan of her previous Christmas songs as I don’t like the production or sound of them. I don’t like the traditional/jazzy/orchestral sounds when it comes to Christmas music. Anything acoustic, folksy, or rock is good for me. Even ballads as long as they’re not too traditional sounding. But I listen to poppy Christmas music mostly, so that is what I’d wish from Avril.
Anything other than old traditional style is good for me.

There’s a chance that with her new short hair, daily and weekly maintenance and styling is very minimal and easy for her to do herself, leading her to only need help with her hair if she’s doing an event or concert. That could be why she may not have Lauren on her team anymore.
And then again, we don’t even know if Lauren is on the team or not.

IAM for sure...despite it sounding so out of place on LS. It's funny how the deluxe song that sounds the least like the main album turned out to be the best.

I'm not much of a fan of Mercury In Retrograde. I don't hate the song, but it gets ranked pretty low out of all LS songs. The guitars and trap beat sound very reminiscent of MGK's song, "my ex's best friend". I can't listen to MIR without thinking of the song comparison. This trap sort of sound works really well in LIWYHM, but it's not doing MIR any favors. I agree with those saying it could improve without a third/final chorus with an instrumental break/guitar solo in between the 2nd and 3rd chorus at least without a bridge present. But overall, I don't care for the melody of the verses of chorus. The song's sound is just very uninteresting.
Pity Party...I disliked on the first listen. By the second listen, I've got the infectious chorus stuck in my head. I think the vocal effects work well in the chorus, but I think it would be better if the verses didn't also have the effect in order to give contrast. The verses aren't great, but the chorus is enjoyable and catchy. I know the "you make me sick" lyrical idea is not new and we've heard it already on this album, but I think individually it works well in this song - I like how she turns "sick" into two syllables...I don't know why, but I like it. As like MIR, PP could benefit a lot from either a bridge or instrumental break/guitar solo with a third/final chorus to round out the song. Both songs seem cut short and unfinished with only verse chorus verse chorus. PP verses are also very lazy. Verse 2 is almost verbatim of verse 1. That works okay in certain songs, but with PP being so short, there is not enough variation in verse 2 to really add to and elevate the song.
I see a lot of people praising LIWYHM acoustic. I am dissatisfied with it. I don't like her voice overlapping blackbear's verse. It washes out his vocals. But my main dislike of the song is the rhythm change in the chorus. The rhythm in the acoustic version gives the song a more mellow laid back sound and makes me miss the original's faster pace in the rhythm of the drums and guitars. The acoustic version of ICDB does a good job at preserving the rhythm and pace of the original despite the slight tempo change.
I'm A Mess is the solid best track of the deluxe. But I think due to the drastic sound and style change of the song, it should've been a non-album single or included in a different project with more music similar to its sound and sub-genre whether that would be a Yungblud project or Avril project.
All the leaked songs vary in quality, but they all mostly fit the overall sound and feel of LS. It's unfortunate those couldn't have made the cut for the deluxe.

It is interesting to note that I think Avril referred to this song very early on, remember the posts where she was riding the motorbikes? Or am I totally making this up? I just looked back at her Instagram now and I see the posts with the motorbikes but no reference to "Too Fast to Live" Maybe there’s mass misremembering, but I do vaguely remember that.

I’m glad she made a statement as well. I am honestly surprised by it. I truly didn’t expect her to make one.
I like what she said. I think she waited an appropriate amount of time to release a statement. It wasn’t immediate, which gave her time to collect details, communicate with her team and lawyers and make sure she’s infringing on anything with Ticketmaster by saying anything specific. I know people were highly anticipating a statement from her, which the fast pace of the internet and social media conditions people for immediate information. But her statement didn’t feel “late” to me.
It also didn’t feel out-of-touch. Did she address everything, no. Some things she probably legally couldn’t address with repercussions. But I think she said enough in the moment to ease the fans a little. And I think she left it open-ended just enough to allow fans to know that this isn’t the end of the conversation, but she’s said what she can for the time being and we’ll hear more from her when she has more to share.

I and a lot of others are severely disappointed neither Taylor or Taylor Nation has said anything about this yet. I’m disappointed a little too. I’m hoping that Taylor and her team are trying to get more dates scheduled in order to increase the amount of tickets that can be sold. Not that this necessarily fixes the Ticketmaster system and their issues or the scalpers, but it drives down demand which should keep ticket prices lower. For the Fearless and Speak Now tours, she did way more shows than 51 in the US and still did international dates as well. So it wouldn’t be something completely new for her to do a higher number of shows. If she’s willing and able to for this tour, I hope she adds more US dates and does a decent amount international dates for the international fans.

Literally same, have to be in the office on Friday so it will make it more difficult. I saw so many people say they specifically took time off work and school to do these presales only to walk away with nothing. It’s the stupid scalpers who are getting in ahead of everyone and buying everything. I think what I’ll do is keep checking back on the site over the next few weeks and see if anything opens up. I remember for rep tour there were still tickets available leading up to the show. They gradually release more so I think even if they all sell out, there might be more that get released as the date gets closer. That’s the little shred of hope that I have too, that maybe the general sale won’t be the very very last of the tickets. And surely the resell tickets have to go down in price eventually, right? I mean I saw a floor ticket priced for $30,000 yesterday on StubHub. Surely no one will pay those ridiculous prices and these asshat resellers will bring down their prices to actually sell their tickets and make money. Even the nosebleeds are listed for resell at $400+. And that’s ridiculous, let alone a floor seat for $30k. Idk who is worse, Ticketmaster or these resellers.

I’ve also seen a lot of people stating that during the main presale, people who didn’t have merch boosts from Taylor Nation or boosts from having Lover Fest tickets got through the queue in 30 minutes or less and secured tickets, but the people who had at least one of the boosts or both boosts waited hours to get through the queue.
So there’s a conspiracy that the boosts worked opposite of how they were supposed, like it was coded backwards and gave people without boosts spots toward the front of the queue.
I’m not typically a conspiracy theorists, but I personally fit this narrative. I had the merch boost and the Lover Fest boost.
But I’m not 100% on what the boosts were boosting. So it’s possible the boosts were supposed to help with getting verified from registering, but help with the actual presale. Idk. I thought the conspiracy was interesting.

I’m sorry Bogo, I didn’t have luck in the capital one presale either. I logged in at 1:50pm. Got in the queue a minute or two after 2pm but had 2,000+ ahead of me. Waited 25 minutes to finally get access to the seat map/list. Every ticket I tried gave me an error stating something along the lines of “sorry we could not process this request on this device”.
I had yesterday off, but unfortunately wasted hours for no tickets. I had to work today and was stuck at work trying so hard to still do my job and try to get tickets, but I couldn’t because of my “device”. I used my laptop yesterday since I was off, but since I was at work today, I had to use the mobile site on my phone. (Because if you search Taylor Swift in the Ticketmaster app, it says there are no events for this artist).
It all around sucks. I waited and waited yesterday because of the monstrosity that happened from Ticketmaster. Which caused them to push the capital one sale to a different day, or which it was more difficult for me to try for tickets. I really don’t have much hope, if any for the general sale on Friday. I also have to work Friday too, so that makes my chances worse.

Unfortunately, I did not score any tickets during the presale. After a couple of minutes of trying for "decent seats" I was trying for literally any seats (except the ones that are practically behind the stage) and I kept getting the message "another fan secured these first". I kept trying until they all ran out.
Floor seats were $750. The nose bleeds/highest section were in the $100-130 range. Floor seats were not justifiable for me with that price. And any seats almost behind the stage/screen weren't worth any price to me.
I'm not necessarily sad though because of the capital one presale. I believe that certain seats were kept unavailable for that presale, but I could be wrong about that. It won't hurt to try. Plus, for the capital one presale and general onsite, I can look at multiple shows and not be confined to one show like the verified presale. And worst scenario, resale tickets will always be available. I'm sure I can get those at a somewhat "resale reasonable" price.
Fingers crossed for tomorrow!

It’s definitely been a mess for sure! I’m only about ⅓ of the way through the queue…4hours in.
The capital one sale getting postponed is a big relief. It would’ve been impossible to get on that presale while still in the verified presale.
