Okay. She needs to release a country album like now! This song is amazing!!!

It’s cute but very repetitive, I got a bit bored. Reminded me how annoying that weird accent she used to do on random lines of songs is.

However, “if you tell me you love me, I’ll say “I Do”” basically sums up Avrils YOLO approach to marriage doesn’t it

I don’t like it that much because they don’t have separate lines and is kinda repetitive. Her voice is sometimes a bit weird and it’s super cheesy but it was their wedding song so that’s obvious tho xD.
So many songs leaked tho..? So weird!!!

And she wants to do a remix of Ay? What about your deluxe Avril? By the time that one comes out all the extra songs probably already leaked!

Meh, the wedding song is just ok to me and super cheesy, and yes very repetitive, basic, and boring. I guess it’s nice we finally got to hear it but I also feel like this isn’t something we were supposed to have heard, considering it’s their wedding song. Feels a bit personal. Anyway, I’m glad LMG made the record instead.

I wonder how long this will stay up since it seems like Sony is more proactive about leaks than DTA.

I only listened to "If I Said I Loved You" once so far, but I'm really surprised by how much I enjoyed it. I skimmed a few comments here first, and therefore expected to find it cheesy myself, since I don't much like love songs in the first place. But I don't really think "If I Said I Loved You" is that cheesy. I think it's pretty sweet, actually. Yes, it gets quite repetitive about halfway through, but that rhythm is so catchy, I was vibing in my seat throughout the song, lol.

I also think both Avril and Chad sound great in the song. Avril really killed it imo. I love the way she uses her voice, switching from chest voice to head voice, and giving certain words a bit of an emphasis... I didn't really hear any weird accent; to me, it just sounded like she played with the pronunciation a little, but that just made the song more interesting imo (unlike in e.g. "Hello Heartache" where her weird pronunciations just ruin the song for me). I don't much like Chad's voice, but the way he and Avril harmonised throughout the song worked wonderfully imo, and made Chad's voice much more bearable enjoyable for me.

I also just love how authentic the song feels. Listening to it just that one time really made me happy for Avril's and Chad's happiness.

So yeah, the only negative I really have about this song is its repetitiveness. Based on my first listen, I would've loved to see it on AL, or officially released in some other way. It's way better than at least half of AL. But I understand they wanted to keep the song to themselves. Which makes me feel a little uncomfortable, having listened to it. But it's so good, I really want to listen to it some more times...

Am I the only one who feels like Avril keeps those songs in the shadows because they are personal? Lyrically, they are more dedicated and the relation between lines are much more tied.
