Both Dumb Blondes rising.  I like, at least one version, a lot more than most people. When I see a huge increase, or a huge drop, I wonder if it is a statistical anomaly. However, when I see that so many songs are ranked near previous years, I see that as a validation, of the poll overall. |

I really like the solo version of DB.
IAGWIW, IDHTT and 4 Real are 3 of her worst songs imo, glad they’re quite low!

Okay, I really got a bone to pick with the fandom... How could "What Child Is This?" end up on #84? It's a 10/10 track! Y'all have no taste. 
Just kidding, but seriously, I think this song deserves to be way, way higher in the ranking. It's become one of my favourite Christmas songs, and that's quite something, because there are only two Christmas songs out there that I know of and love. Anyway, WCIT may sound kind of overproduced, but I think it actually fits the vibe. Avril's vocals are really good. The dramatic, blockbuster-esque vibe is great. And even though I'm not very religious, I don't mind the lyrics at all. They just tell a story imo. I'm also sad, but not surprised, to see "Goddess" ranking so low. Yes, I agree, the lyrics are... quite something. But pretty much everything else makes up for it. I love the acoustic guitars, the melodies, and the rhythm. I love the structure, the fact that we're made to believe the chorus is the highlight, but then we're surprised by an even better post-chorus. And Avril's vocals are so good! As are the backing vocals. Really, apart from the lyrics, the song is pure gold to me. Another song whose ranking I always disagree with: IDHTT. Such a fun, powerful song. Avril actually screams in it. Like, what more do you want? |

I was surprised to see What Child Is This? rank so low for a new song as well but I think it probably landed where it did because it’s a Christmas song and most of this fandom doesn’t seem to like Christmas songs, especially religious ones.

I understand why break it so good is so low. She only sings the chorus and a lot of fans don't like this kind of pop tune. But I bet if someone like Bebe Rhexa were to get this song it would make radio. I wish Avril had better taste for pure pop music. She has the voice but prefers to go with more disney sounding songs. It's why I believe she didn't have much success with her more pop sounding records.
One of those girls. I don't understand why the low score. It's the music she does best. Not quite pop but more rock and almost pop punk sounding. This what I would like an album of is she is doing a full on pop punk record.

I never get how Black Star ranks above actual songs. It should’ve stayed as her little perfume advert jingle thing. That and IDHTT are the only two album tracks I don’t have on Apple Music lol.

^ You're right about Black Star. That song should have been mainly to promote her fragrance rather than an album opener. It's not a terrible song, but whenever I listen to it I just don't think it translates well with the rest of Goodbye Lullaby.

I always thought Black Star did a good job of setting the tone for GL, even if it’s got kind of lame lyrics. Unfortunately WTH comes in and ruins the vibe.

Poor Souvenir still one of my favorites.. >.< I am also surprised about What Child Is This. I am not Christian but I really liked how the song was done and Avril has a great voice in it. Goddess is another song that I wish it would be appreciated more. About Black Star, I think it is a great album opener. I don’t listen to it on it‘s own though but I think it really fits in GL.. if only the next song wasn‘t WTH.. lol Anyways.. it is what it is. Let‘s see.  |

Nobody's fool will be allways for me one of best Avril's songs, I don't like studio version too much as live version TTSMU tour. A lot of these songs I will put at least 10 places higher. The best damn thig, I don't give and Bad girl in top 20-25 maybe Contagious is to me like a younger brother of One of those girls Stop standing there (go higher) beautifull ballad Too bad that won't let you go, Knockin' on heaven's door and Get over it fall to much... Adia is very beautifull ballad but it's cover like KoHD, ao I don't care too much Best years of our lives I don't listen this song, very rare, because when I listen, I am sad cause there is no Evril I am not big fan of Let me go and We are warriors music video |
