Yeah fans are way too nice in the poll compared to bandaids threads. But this survey was posted on social media. There she often gets more love. I say change the ranking to 5 but I bet people will still give high scores. TINS should be top 20. HIGH up in the top 20. I ignored this song for years but it's honestly one of her best. HW and TBDT MV I love. They are fun and I love band scenes pre- GL. Band scenes after that are too forced like no way your playing guitar this song doesn't even rock. I think I said that last year already that I find it way easier to rate songs from 1 to 5 or 1 to 6 rather than from 1 to 10. I got the feeling that a 1-10 rating leads me to give way higher points than I would give if it was a 1-5 rating. It’s kind of weird..  But I really think a 1-5 rating would change the results a little but I guess it is hard to switch everything since we are always comparing to last year. |

I've been wondering for a while if it wouldn't be interesting to have fans create their own ranking and award points from 1 to 127 (or however many songs you want to include). That way we might (mostly) avoid having fans give half of all the songs a 10/10 rating. However, I think this would be incredibly time consuming, comparing all those songs to one another. I mean, I think many of us know how difficult it can be to create a simple personal top 10 list. Now try this with almosst 13 times as many songs - it'd take hours!

Generally, I think we as fans are too nice to her when it comes to these rankings. We all love her music but is it really realistic that UMS is almost a 10 or that self-titled, even after it got trashed for years by the fandom, is a rounded-up 8? Even Hello Kitty (which is an iconic song and will be remembered for centuries as one of humanity's greatest discoveries), the song is despised by a big amount of the fandom but yet it's still somehow almost a 7/10 (I gave it a ten because it pushed boundaries and was basically the first and only time Avril went left field with a song). When you read Bandaids, comments by her Twitter fans or any social media, you would think that Avril should be happy if the song gets more than a 2.0. It's hard to get a realistic ranking when most of her fans rank like this: 10: flawless, 9: not as good but good, 8: mediocre, 7: bad, 6: a b-side. Avril has songs that are 1s, 2s... Her fans don't vote like that out of respect but no one cares about this other than us, so why not just be... (4)real? At the end of the day it just a fun ranking, it's not like we will use this in real life. Friend X: To me Fall to Pieces is Avril's best song. Me: Yeah but your favorite should be Innocence as it's my favorite song and it was higher in the fans' ranking.  Yeah I agree. If any other artist had released Think About It would anyone here rank it nearly a 7/10 lol? “I never wanted to run away from you, I felt real bad but that was what I did”. I mean... I feel like this happens every year where all of us on the board somehow disagree with the rating even though we are the ones who voted. It's likely due to the fact that in order to get more participants, we posted the survey on our social accounts so there might be more casual fans voting, people who aren't part of this site.

I do mine roughly like 10 - my favourite song, 8-9 a great song but not my fave, 6-7 a good song, 5 meh it’s ok, anything under 5 I just don’t like (hi GL) I think it'd be more functional to maybe use a ranking table thingy like this one here for album Red that's for swifties (or for entire discography: jesseepinkman.tumblr.com/tswiftsong ), though it'd be a rather lengthy process admittedly. There you have to decide which of two songs you prefer, and it rolls through all of the songs, and goes through some kind of multi-tier elimination process, and ends up with a nice chart of songs, from your favourite to your least favourite. edit: as usual I am blind as a bat. There indeed is an Avril sorter existing right here. |

But that is to rank your indicia taste. This survey is for all of our community. I would not like to stop doing it. I enjoy despite not agreeing with some results. Our fan base is very diverse after all.

You can combine the chart positions of individual people to make a community chart, though. It wouldn't contain 1-10 ratings admittedly, but it would make a chart of most-to-least-liked songs without the ability of rating half the songs 10, 9 or 8, I suppose? |

I love this annual rating as well, even if most of my posts upon seeing the results seem like nothing but  lol. But I actually really enjoy seeing/reading all these different opinions, yet we all agree that in the end, we love (or at least like, haha) Avril's music. And the fact that every single song seems to be loved by at least one person is kind of heart-warming to me. Even the on average most disliked song makes at least one person out there happy. That's pretty cool!  |

My first impression on albums is meh, no surprise. The songs though  . I think Lil Mama had a BIG jump due too more discussion on here and the poll by Underclass King . New members are also going to change the dynamic some and how many participants we get overall will as well. Interesting changes overall, but with so many diverse fans voting how did five songs on the chart NOT MOVE? |

New members are also going to change the dynamic some and how many participants we get overall will as well. I'll have to campaign extra hard next year so that "Girlfriend" (Dr. Luke Mix) will crack the top 100.  |

I estimate around 80% of responses come from there. Maybe more. If it weren't for their participation, this poll wouldn't be worth the effort. |

A lot of the songs from TBDT and some from GL and Avril Lavigne ranked much higher than last year. Actually.. a lot of her upbeat songs ranked higher (I mean look at Dumb Blonde). Guess it‘s time for some upbeat songs now. Won‘t Let You Go dropping 27 places tho. ;~; |
