It's not fake though. You can literally hear her playing throughout the song, it's just that the other instruments are really loud as they should be.

I think I didn't explain myself properly. I didn't meant it would be unprofessional if they performed live from a different location due to covid. I meant it wouldn't look too professional if they recorded a video and edit it to get rid of bad vocals as if it were some kind of studio version with no flaws, and then send it to Jimmy Kimmel's team. But that's just my opinion. The truth is they have performed it live (even if it may have been pre-recorded) and I didn't expect less of these two. 
I must say that I LOVE everything about this performance. The lads skating in the back, Avril playing the guitar, her TBDT pink streaks, the Let Go star all over her black suit and her beautiful voice that I'd missed for so long. The whole thing brings me back to my teenage years when I'd spend the whole weekend watching Complicated and Sk8er Boi music videos on repeat on a VHS tape and dream of being that Canadian badass tomboy sk8er gurl.  |

Iβm pretty sure the performance wasnβt done in one take. They probably did a few takes and edited the best pieces together.

It would be cool if they have been gathering those type of recordings all this time to include them later on a documentary about the making of of the album, i guess they are doing that... but i would like to see those recordings from that guy LOL, (if he was indeed recording, obviously).

Yes, he was recording  Mod Sun answered a comment on his last post saying there will be something special coming that includes that footage. I agree that it's probably some sort of documentary, he seems to film everything. I hope Avril does something like that too!  |

Itβs very interesting that the song started falling even more after the performance. Usually TV performances will give it a boost. Goes to show you how sick of it her fans are and wanted to let it die.
