It’s very interesting that the song started falling even more after the performance. Usually TV performances will give it a boost. Goes to show you how sick of it her fans are and wanted to let it die. That’s a myth. I mean it can happen if it’s goes together with a massive promotion and the hidden support from the label but TV doesn’t have its power , the power it used to have two decades ago |

I'm late to the party and started listening to Flames only now. IMO the song didn't need Avril for other than promo. Her parts are fine when she sings alone but those where they sing together don't sound that good. Mod Sun's voice is quite nice and I like his style of music, so I'm grateful for Avril for finding him and bringing his music to my attention.  |

TV performances 100% help. There's a couple fans on these threads who don't seem to think so, but they do. They wouldn't do them otherwise. A fan was trying to tell me that SNL doesn't do anything promotionally for songs....I WAS DEAD. SNL 100% does and it will have your songs streams increasing drastically as well as charting on the Hot 100. |

She doesn't even get interviews on the Late Night shows anymore. She used to perfrom and then get interviewed after. |

I think some people had problems with her but I like Ellen Her show is relatively unknown in my country but I have see some episodes and realised that she was super mean to a lot of guests. Especially Mariah Carey. After looking at the outrage online I thought people hated her. |

Her show had quite a big controversy earlier this year with allegations that misconduct had happened behind the scenes and she was basically a nightmare to work with. Some #MeToo stuff had happened that she turned a blind eye to. Next season will be her last and I think deservedly so. I used to like Ellen a lot especially as her role of Dory in Finding Nemo but after hearing that stuff and really looking at the ways she treated her guests over the years, I’m kind of put off by her now. She would do things to her guests veiled as a joke that actually looked rather mean (going through a slideshow of guys to Taylor Swift and asking about her breakup with Joe Jonas for example).

I've been hearing stuff about Ellen for a couple years now. I'm glad the GP finally started to listen. I also hear the same stuff said about James Corden but based on his Friends reunion interview, I see no stopping him yet. Still, I don't see a problem of Avril performing at these shows. But I'm actually super glad that she doesn't get these kind of interviews anymore. Avril is so awkward for these kind of tv show interviews.
